Time Sync problem Sprint

I have observed that on my PPC 6700, If I travel from one time zone to another, the cell phone deos not change time on its own, while my other friends who have verizon service get their times changed. Is it common? Is it the PPC 6700 ( WM5) to be blamed or the Sprint network?

Do you have time sync enabled?

Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Time Synchronization > Get Settings

After you land, navigate to their and then hit the get update or whatever that button says. It "should" work then.

You have to tell the Sprint 6700 what time zone you are in, the time sync only corrects the minutes. I travel a lot and this has always been the case with the 6700. I could be wrong but I think it tells you in the Sprint manual about this but it has been a long time since I have read it so I couldn't tell you what page.

When I was having trouble with the DST fix, the time sync would correct the hours for me as well. When I turned off the time sync, I was able to manually update the hour to the correct hour. Take this with a grain of salt, since I haven't been out of CST in a while...
