I'm trying to cook up my own ROM, but I'm wondering if there's an explanation somewhere of what all the applications in the kitchen are, or even others on the FTP?

Weird, I left abcPowerMeter running all night when the power level was at about 70%. But it didn't collect any data to speak of. I guess the program doesn't collect when the device goes idle (I didn't have it plugged in). So, this morning it's only down to 60% which is acceptable considering it was out all night. I'll see what happens over the course of the day today. I recall my commute home yesterday; I left work at 100% and about 10-15 minutes later it had already dropped to 80%.

Clock Problems

Colonel,

I hope I didn't skim over the previously posted answer, but the clock in the corner of my today screen has gone screwey. I have a circle with a cryllic symbol behind it(I guess). Do I need to HR to fix it or is there something quicker and easier.

Thanks Colonel,

Dave

Just had to post and say that Colonel's 3.5 ROM for my Verizon XV6700 finally made it a usable phone! THANK YOU Colonel!

Only having the phone for under 1 month, I was about ready to tell Verizon to eat it!

I had tried tons of reg tweaks, dif apps, etc all of them just made the phone marginally better, but stability always got worse. I had even updated to UTStarcom latest ROM release (since my brand new phone was still a rev behind). All pointless endeavors. With the 6700 being my 3rd PocketPC device, it was far from lack of effort or knowledge on the device side. It was just a poor phone with the default Verizon ROM.

Missed calls, crappy sound, volume, everything phone-related was just bad. Heck at one point I wonder if it was the actual device was defective.

The final solution was your ROM Colonel. I haven't tried any other customs but as of this weekend I finally have a great phone. Made a handful of tweaks and now it works the way I work all from Colonel's great efforts.

Thanks again, it so greatly appreciated and easy to do.

(Noob's just follow Colonel's steps and it works great!)

Okay, I am installing the latest Colonel 3.5 now. After doing the initial boot and the device does the customization settings and application settings, the unit reboots but hangs and freezes on the windows mobile splash screen. If I do a clear all reset , I can get back in the unit but it still does the customizing again and reboots to a stuck windows mobile screen. What am I doing wrong here. This is the first custom rom I have installed since April so I really hope the stability has improved. Colonel you always do cook up a nice rom so I am sure I am doing something wrong here .
