When I got to the bootloader screen, I tried what was on the xda website and nothing ever popped up that allowed me to go into the Open mtty utility / software page. It just went blank. Can you help with this please?

Here is the Uni_ExitBootloader link from that post. Make sure you follow the instructions exactly when you use either method.

Radio Problems

I've done a little more testing, and am still having the same problems. Are there any programs that might interfere with the radio settings? It is basically killing the phone reception. It drops connections every 3-5 seconds. Do you have any reg settings for EVDO/Hybrid maybe? I do not live in an EVDO market / maybe its searching for EV? I'm so surprised this isn't happening to anyone else. Even before the device finished installing the ext rom, I hear the device picking up and dropping the connection over and over. This hasn't happened before with any other ROM, and as soon as I flash it back to Kirvin's Clean its fine. In Test Mode using FieldTrial I'm seeing
Call Proccessing State: 0 Entering CDMA, 1 Sync Channel, 2 Paging Channel, 8 NCCCH State (cycle over and over)
Service Option #: 0
Slot Cycle Index: 2
Band # CDMA Cellular, CDMA PCS (cycle back and forth)
CH #: 242, 283, 384, 589 (continuous cycling)
SID#: 21
NID #: 9
Active Set: 0, 192 (either/or)
Neighbor Set: 112
RX Power: (range from) -72 dbm to -116 dbm
RX Ec/Io: (range) 16db to 63 db

Ringtone Issue?

Hey Colonel, Just wanted to thank you for your work on 3.5! Big improvements over 3.3. I do notice two things with this one:

1. The phone beeps periodically, and when I'm quick enough to look at it I get a warning that the storage card has been removed. It shows "Media Removal Alert" which quickly disappears. Not sure why but it does seem to be happening just about as often as the phone was crashing when using 3.3

2. Because I constantly listen to music in the car and at work, having the phone in Vibrate & Ring is pretty important; I went to enable this: (>Settings>Phone)

Set ring type to Ring & Vibrate, pressed the play button to ensure it was working. It played the ringtone and vibrated the phone. I pressed OK, and it appeared to save the setting. As soon as a call came in, it reverted back to Ring.

Any ideas?

#1 is notifyme. You can change the settings and disable it in settings. You may need to delete the link in Windows\startup

#2 Dont know on that one. I actually havent used that rom for quite a while, but I am pretty sure that ring and vibrate worked. You might double check the settings of the O2 profiles app on the Today screen. It might be changing your settings back.
