rtullier, the Boot folder is for initial customizations right after flashing and booting. Now that you have flashed and booted, just copy the VoiceCmd.exe to \Windows. You can, however, create the Boot folder for the next time you flash.

If the Storage card is not showing up in the Memory page, check to see if it is visible with file explorer. From time to time, the SD will dismount and not come back without a reset.

I believe you can still save attachments to the SD, but I will have to double check.

And, no I have not compiled a list of the apps and what they do. Right now, you can find info on them here or on the net.

Colonel, thanks for the quick response.

File Explorer nor Total Commander shows the SD. I have re-booted and still nothing. I will check to see if it is bad. Any other ideas?

If I put the VoiceCmd.exe in the "\Boot\" folder and do a hard reset, does the exe load into extended ROM? Do you have a good link to explain the ROM geography? Is it like the PC memory from circa 1989 where there was extended memory sitting above the 640k, if you added memory to your PC?

Thanks

All the Boot folder does is allow for certain files to be copied into the rom automatically.

As far as the memory situation, there are 3 basic partitions. One is the rom, one is the Extended rom and the third is usable storage for the end user. The Extended_Rom2 that you see is just unhidden and you can unlock it with the included app to use that portion of the memory.

As far as the SD, check it with another device or PC to make sure it is not dead. A soft reset should have been sufficiant to get it to show again.

I had to reset my phone so often it stopped letting me do anything at all and would lock up on the home screen if it even got there. I reflashed it with the same version (3.5 sprint final) and now I have the phone that I love back again. I may try Helmi's latest 3.5 rom but I am just waiting for the Colonels Kitchen to go with it.

Leave Apache Threads and goto Reg tweaks.
There you can find post on cache settings to lower wich I used to keep my Colonel rom from freezing.
BigJ also discuses this in first post of his rom threads. His settings are slightly lower. It depends on your situation.

Sprint Rom

Question? I tried to flash the Sprint 3.5 rom and when I flashed it, everything went smotthly til it asked to hard reset. When I did the hard reset, it went to a USB 1.00 screen and it froze and wouldn't move form there. I preceeded to go back to my old rom and try it again and it did it again. Can you help please? Thanks

You are stuck in bootloader mode. Use the following link. You might try the UNI app mentioned part-way down the first page first. I hear that it is easier. You can also jump in the chat room if you need help.

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/for-those-of...ootloader.html

Once out of bootloader mode, you might want to make sure you flashed your latest Official upgrade to make sure everything is cool before going back to a custom rom.

Excuse my noob-ness... i'm interested in messing around with your rom... but i'm leary of screwing things up and not be able to go back to the original rom.

Is there a place i can download the original rom installer, so i can go back to the original just in case. Or, from what i've read, just in case i ever need to go into Verizon, so they see the orig rom, not a modded one.

Thanks in advance.
