Bluetooth not working with new Unified 3.5 ROM Kitchen

So, I installed the new Unified 3.5 ROM and my Bluetooth stopped working... I was previously on the 3.5 PR2 Kitchen and my Bluetooth worked fine.

The symptom is this: Whenever I try to activate Bluetooth, the "thinking circle" comes up for around one minute and after it finishes, bluetooth is not activated. I have tried using CommManager, the quick phone manager, and the BT control panel module.

The only two new pieces of software I've tried out are SPB Phone Suite and SBSH PhoneWeaver.. They both worked fine on PR2.

Are there any registry settings I should look into or programs I can use to pinpoint my problem? Thanks in advance!

No problems here... Silly question, did you set your headset for discovery mode?

There seems to be a problem with some of the SPB applications and the new ROM. I am having the same issue:

Just a question, did you hard reset after flashing the ROM?

I have been using this ROM for some time and use both a BT headset and BT TomTom with no problems.

OBEX File Push Profile

I just installed the AKU 3.5 kitchen ROM (Using the 2.0 . net framework and the WM6 theme).

Now when I try to use the bluetooth transfer wizard on my Vista machine, it says: The file transfer failed because the receiving bluetooth device did not respond. ... make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.

This worked with my old AKU 2.2 ROM, but not this one. Any suggestions?

OBEX File Push Profile

Looks like the problem was just a simple registry value. Found this in a post from Malatesta.

Enable/Disable receiving of files over BlueTooth/IrDA
If you want to prevent receiving files over BlueTooth or IrDA, you can set the following value:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)
And to (re-)enable:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

Changed the value, did a soft reset, and it works fine.

To answer a few questions above:

1. I did do a hard reset

2. The BT does not even activate on my phone, so it didn't matter if my headset was on discovery mode.

3. I have since uninstalled SPB Phone Suite and stuck with SBSH Phoneweaver...

Are there any other software that would impact it?

Also, my BT does work randomly on occasion, but rarely. Most of the time, my phone hangs while it tries to star it up.

I had the same issue with the beta/pre-release Kitchen 3.5 ROM but I have not tried it with the official kitchen 3.5 1.0 ROM. I could repeat this issue by doing the following:
1. Turn on wifi radio
2. turn off pcs radio
3. turn off bluetooth radio
4. Launch tcpmp and stream via wifi
5. power off
6. power on
7. turn off wifi
8. turn on bluetooth radio (and alas it would not come on and do exactly what you are describing).

Eventually, I have to soft reset and then the device comes back with the bluetooth radio on. weird.

I'm trying to figure out if this is the same problem I'm having. I am able to get mine to work again when it stops by just going in to the Today screen menu, clicking on the "items" tab, then hitting the ok button. I don't have to add or remove anything from the today screen I found out, just going to the screen is good enough.

I am experiencing the same problem, and I can confirm that this works for me as well.
