Where can I get a UK version of MSVC?
I've got 1.6, but it sounds like an American dialect of English. A Brit version would be cool!

I built mine with 3 different VC OEMs. First I did Luv2chill's cuz the UK voice sounded like a cool idea. I had the same problem as you did haus. I then built with Colonel's. Again, had problems. Finally rebuilt with J_Babey's VoiceCommand (not VCMD) and got a working system.

Yuma when was this? I updated my OEM yesterday morning. If you had the problem before then then that's expected. If you're having it with my 1.0.1 OEM then please report back.

A totally fresh kitchen install worked! And I had uninstalled Cyberon too.

I'm thinking back to the stuff I did that may have caused the problem. Hopefully I can re-build things one at a time and see where it gets broken.

1. I always rename my OEM additions with a common prefix (like HAUS_) so that I can easily identify them inside the OEM folder. I wonder if that broke luv2chill's OEM?

2. (sorry but) I can't stand the boot screen. So I went into the ROM folder and ran the patchlogo exe on the nk.nba (which I believe is sort of the "core" nba file for the kitchen - correct me if I'm wrong) to change it. That does work (all my subsequent ROMs had a nice cool bootscreen I set up awhile back), but maybe it broke something in the nba file.

3. I removed MSN. This shouldn't be a problem, but...

4. I added Colonel acbPower, Colonel_batti, Colonel_Onlock, PocketXPDF, PIEplus, and the following regedits in a custom OEM I made for myself (just has an RGU and a DSM file:

Those are just some personal things I like to have set "my way" when I start. I haven't verified that my reg entries there all worked, but I know most of them did (turning off beam receive, for example, setting the today items off, and the one-line date definitely worked). Before I had a chance to look at any other things I noticed the VC issue.

Anyway, I'll be re-doing these things one at a time and maybe I'll get an idea of where VC got broken.

Can't rename the OEM folder. I should clarify that - I mean you can't rename the folder of the OEM that you're trying to install, in this case "Voice Command...". Not the OEM folder itself.

When I added a prefix to it and reflashed, VC is broken again. luv2chill, any idea why that would be the case? On the chat we talked about the order OEM's are worked on...maybe there's something between my prefix ("G...") and "Voice..." that is messing things up. I guess I have to take more care in remembering what I've added.

Downloaded your OEM on Friday, so it was an old one. I may re-build, though. The brit accent thing still sounds like fun!

Haus, OEMS are processed alphabetically. So, name all of your OEMs like this: zzMSVC, zzBatti, etc. Try that and see if it helps.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting the OEMs I've made to work. I'm wondering if it might have to do with the .dsm file, the instructions I have for making OEMs say to leave it blank, but I'm wondering if there needs to be some data in there. I can't think of anything else that would be causing it not to work. Ideas?

dsm files should be blank. The CreateOS step of the kitchen build is what populates them with data.

Please provide more information of what is not working in your OEMs. There are several places things can go wrong. Also state which apps are not working for you.
