Even though there are others listed in PA they don't seem to exist on the phone. Is there a config file that determines where it's looking for new skins that I need to edit or something?

Also what is the procedure for changing the second image that shows on screen during the boot process after a soft/hard reset (profile of sonic)?
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/splash-scree...ot+screen.html these instructions helped me change the first, but I couldn't find info on the second.
Just place the .skn and skin folder into /windows. As for the second screen, change welcomehead.96.png in your /windows folder.

If you need .NET2 you may download and install it. There are no .NET2 dependant applications on the handset however. There are only 3 applications that I wanted to integrate that require it, but there simply wasnt enough room in the ROM for the .NET2 and the applications i wanted to integrate.

The rumours are that the new kitchen is approx 8-10 megs smaller in the OS, so I may be able to bring it in once the new kitchen is up & stable. But if .NET2 still slows the entire phone down, i may not bring it in.

If your curious, the 3 applications are
-Hitchiker
-GroupSMS
-Call Firewall

Is there other programs you think add functionality to the ROM that require .NET2? Drop me a PM.

+++++++++++++

Im glad you guys are finding this release üb3r stable, i think its funny that both of the stable roms took 6 revisions. Hope the next round doesnt take so long haha.

Add two more to the list of possibly needing .NET2:

-oggsync
-gmobilesync

I think these worked in 9.6 without me upgrading anything.
In 1.6u I'm seeing a message stating: "requires a newer version of .NET compact framework than the version installed on this device"

These programs are used to sync the outlook calendar on my phone with my internet based Google Calendar. Actually, either of the programs will work, don't need both.

Also, the website for Google Calendar doesn't support the browser currently in this ROM, so I can't just use the normal online method of updating my internet calendar. It will however, allow me to view my calendar online, it just will not allow any edits.

I was going to post a link to show how I have my personal Calendar set up, but then realized this is the internet and there are raging idiots out there.
So here is a link to the official Google Calendar tour page right here:

Big J,

Without changing your PA skin, how could I reset the nimber of voicemails without going to voicemail? An original skin has an alert/dismiss button.

Thanks. I am really enjoying your newest ROM. Makes a BIG difference in the phone when things work as they should, especially BT and VC.

My gosh.
I used to think that I was good at Othello.
This game is going to be the death of me. Forget winning, I can't even come close.
I hate you for showing this game to me.
J/K of course.

Yeah, because I'd need another way to not work.

So, I wanted to see what everyone was talkin' about. So I flashed your ROM this afternoon. I'll say that I'm impressed with many aspects. Some that I thought I would be and some I was surprised about.
First, what I knew I'd like and confirmed:
I like the intetgration of PA. (more about this later)
I like most of the programs/utilites.
I like how well BT works.
I like how darned FAST it is. Probably has to do with the tweaks and XCPUScalar...

What I didn't know/think that I'd like but do like:
I like the games.
I like the Today screen setup, especially the calendar.
The AlarmClock.
HandySwitcher. I think that it is as good as WisBarLite and doesn't seem to cause the hangs that I now think I can attribute to that program.

What I'm not so fond of that I thought I'd like:
The way PA settings look and how it actually works. Without it residing in the Program Files folder, the cabs that install skins don't do so correctly. When I open the settings, skins from other Windows files that use .SKN suffix show up in the drop down list.
The Today calendar is not as configurable as I'd like. I can't set the height to be constant.
I can't find any other internal calendar other than the OEM one. And it sucks. I might try to install PocketInformant (which I love).

What I thought I wouldn't like but wanted to give a chance- but confirmed that I didn't like it:
WeatherPanel. Well, this one isn't really fair... I couldn't even find it.
UI Tweak. Tried it before and didn't like it. Still seems like it takes more to use this than just going to the Today Settings. I don't really care about the other stuff it does.
PimBackup- doesn't work any better here than on Colonel's ROM. SpeedDials never get restored properly.
LVM time. I'd be just as happy getting the time/date in the topbar.

So, is there a place to get the OEMs and settings for the items I like so I can combine them with OEMs from other Kitchens to make a ROM that is PERFECT for ME?

I hope you don't take this as an insult... it's not. I like what you've done and it has given me some ideas.
2 things - I agree about the LVM Time. I personally liked Colonel's take on this where the date and time showed up on the top bar. Lastly, I also am not terribly fond of Calendar+. It is adequate, but I prefer the O2 Calendar plugin.

Still though my fav rom and I pretty much use as is. All the other roms required some significant customization to meet my needs, especially with respect to PA.

since upgrading from 9.6 to 1.6 earlier this week, I've noticed a significant battery drain and I can't figure out what's causing it. I have a seidio 2400 extended battery and on my commute home I usually listen to MP3's with bluetooth stereo headset and prior to upgrade, I would wind up with about 70% battery life left, but for the past two days, it's dropped all the way down to 20%. Anyone else notice a battery issue? Also, where is battv located? I can't seem to find it. I know BigJ swapped out Batti.
