Re: Questons About The PPC6700
Yeah. I'm curious though as to if pricing will be the same on Alltell. If the plans are cheaper but the service is on the same towers. I would "switch".

Re: Questons About The PPC6700
oh, a few hints about using the 6700 on alltel u prepaid - you might have to try your luck calling several different representatives to get one who is willing to activate it (there's other advice on that at howardforums.com - search on alltel prepaid smartphone activation). also, once you get it activated, installing (or baking to your ROM) and using a program called "NoData" from MoDaCo is practically mandatory, otherwise you may mysteriously wind up with your prepaid funds depleting due to them charging $0.10/kb for data. (This is where the WiFi functionality rocks... you can take this phone to many places and use the WiFi to your heart's content for no additional charge.)
i am experienced with this combination (alltel u) and the 6700, so if you have any questions, let me know. i upgraded to WM6.1 on this phone using the advice on the forums here, and after much learning and tweaking, i will never look back to using just a regular cell phone again ... a PPC phone is an awesome platform and feels much more like a little laptop that can do many things, in addition to a halfway decent phone. Re: Questons About The PPC6700
Yep. PPCs are the best. Can't argue about it. Do I have my complaints? Yes. But I know I would have a lot more headaches if I owned one of them iPhones.

Re: Questons About The PPC6700
i have a question I just bought an Alltel/Utstarcom PPc6700. When using ppckitchen it asks for a carrier do i have to select Alltel or can i change this to another carrier if I want? I can use alltel but just want to know if i have other options available to me.
