Agreed PDAPJ, the VZW was just kidding. Way too expensive just to have a working phone. But possible. Oh, and you'd have to flash a VZW ROM.

Re: question on a dead 6700

Verizon customer service REPS are idiots. They tell you that you get billed if you don't turn in a replaced phone. What's more stupid is when you've paid 50 bucks for a new one and they want the old one. Anyhow I wouldn't recomend going with VZW at this point. I aksed them why they're 5-6 months behind with every phone, they say "Oh well we have the new dare and voyager" how lame, who wants these cheap phones? They say their network is so advanced they need to test out phones before releasing them. Anyhow I guess that's going off topic. Even though they're an "Open network" ditch them.

Re: question on a dead 6700

So I guess it is their policy not to activate them unless maybe the original owner clears it, not Asurion. I dunno I guess it would be a theft deterrent if you couldn't activate. Maybe the auction guy figured it was worthless and threw it in the lot of stuff. Now, not so sure you could get it activated on any carrier. It is still a good PDA, though...
