Help with my 6700

Ok guys, been hanging around this site for some time now, in regards with the custom roms for the 6700, I finally picked one up from ebay made sure it was clean and switch it as my live phone, the guy who i bought it off had upgraded it to 6.0 for me which was cool, so once i was ready I download the kitchen for my Carrier "Telus" went smooth and was very easy no problems, programed the phone and i was good to go , played with it for a while, made calls fine all was looking good untill I went to surf the net , kept getting error messages when it tried to dial out "error code 37, error setting up Mobile IP" After some searching it seems the data doesn't seem to work for the Telus ROM , even though some guys say they have it working on there's, the steps they said to take don't work for me , anyway I though I would be smart and try to revert back to Winmo 6 , but it won't let me , I get a connection error, now I spent the last few hours trying to figure how th fix this and I think I've bricked it !!!! won't bootup, nothing. Now without getting to deep into this can it be recoverd ?? and if so how?? sorry for the rambling message but a little frustated now

Thank You in advance

Re: Help with my 6700

error 37 usually has to do with an authentication error. In other words an incorrect UserID and Pass. So I am assuming you have a data plan with Telus right?

As for noth booting up or doing anything, trying plugging it into the charger and turning it on. I assume you are pressing and holding the power button by the way. It not turning on doesnt mean it is bricked. It just means your batt is dead which is why I said connect it toits charger and try turning it on. But even then if the batt is TOO dead it will have to charge for a while before it turns on

Re: Help with my 6700

have tried every possible button combo and all i get it to do is the hard reset option Y to erase N to quit, I say yes it clears and doesn't come back up . Ican go into bootloader mode but thats it it , if i try to run a rom it doesn;t detect the 6700. I was trying what you mentioned about the userid and password with the ESN being the password correct?? Anyway if this is bricked is there a way to revive or am i out of luck ??

Thanks again

Sounds to me like you are just stuck in BL mode which is a long ways away from being bricked. Just search for board for being stuck in BL mode or use google

Need to know if it is booting into bootloader (BL) and you are stuck or you mean that you can get it into BL but you can't flash. Two very different problems and solutions. Both very fixable.

Re: Help with my 6700

Are you using Vista or XP? When the ROM says it doesn't see the Apache, does Windows see it? If it says unknown device, that's your problem. If it does find the driver, then you have eliminated your host OS as being part of the problem.
