My PPC 6700 Will Not Turn On After Upgrading Rom - Page 2

Nope, Nothing holding the three keys down while using a flashlight. There has to be something I can do to at least get this contraption usb readable again...HELP!

I can't imagine you bricked an Apache, that is one solid machine. Also just to make sure its, Power+RECORD+Reset Voice Command is a different button. But then again after the hard reset is done it should go into bootloader. Did you try putting another device's drivers in it?

Jabu would know what I'm talkin about...

Power Record Reset did it! I was able to plug in the usb cord and upgrade--this time the upgrade took and I was able to turn the device back on. Thank you all for your support, I really appreciate it.

Like I said, there is almost no way to brick an Apache. Bootloader seems to be the one everyone forgets how to do. It's not to hard to remember I don't think.

Might try putting the phone back into bootloader mode, hold the top left button and the power button and press reset. See if then you have the dark screen with serial or usb at the top. If you do I would retry the flash. Sounds like you were trying to flash in an official rom so it should have worked.

Uhhh, that's what I told him to do and he's already fixed it. Did you read the posts below or only the first post?

Not sure. Did you have any other programs running, that posibly could have frooze up RUU?

No. I even turned off my screen saver, made sure the energy saver stuff was okay, turned off my firewall and antivirus, and exited everything, including IM clients, browser windows, etc. The RUU program got all the way to the Congratulations screen, too.
