I need help with MMS

I have the 6700 on verizon. I just got it a few days ago and I love it!! I'm having one problem though. I can't get MMS to work while not letting it use the internet.

Let me explain. I want to be able to use my MMS and wifi but I don't want the phone to ever try and "slip" into the verizon data which will shaft me like $2 per 100kb. I don't have a data plan so obviously I don't want the phone to ever use the data. I have unlimited texting though.

So does that make sense? I use the wifi a lot but I don't want it ever to try and load a webpage through verizon data, that would be bad =O.

So how can would I go about making MMS work without the phone ever using data when I'm using the wifi?
