I need help with MMS

I have the 6700 on verizon. I just got it a few days ago and I love it!! :headbang: I'm having one problem though. I can't get MMS to work while not letting it use the internet.

Let me explain. I want to be able to use my MMS and wifi but I don't want the phone to ever try and "slip" into the verizon data which will shaft me like $2 per 100kb. I don't have a data plan so obviously I don't want the phone to ever use the data. I have unlimited texting though.

So does that make sense? I use the wifi a lot but I don't want it ever to try and load a webpage through verizon data, that would be bad =O.

So how can would I go about making MMS work without the phone ever using data when I'm using the wifi?

I don't know how to make MMS use the wifi connection, but you could use NoData to disable your cellular data connection so that it doesn't know about the connection anymore and never tries to connect.

This is impossible some prole here have tried to fugue it out and for the life of them couldn't do it ....its gas to do something like the data used goes to a special server which can only be accessed by data plan and not wifi

As for having MMS automatically use WiFi for downloading I am not quite sure how to get that working. However you can use MMS on WiFi for e-mail downloading and sending. Just have your outgoing server and incoming server be the same as your host e-mail server requires.

i.e. Using Optimum Online E-mail server (optonline.net)

WiFi

Outgoing: mail.optonline.net
Incoming: mail.optonline.net

EVDO

Outgoing: smtp.vzwmail.net
Incoming: mail.optonlin.net

Setting the MMS in this manner will allow for your phone to access your host e-mail server and not the Verizon server.

Hope this helps.

Paul
