I had the Slingbox and took it back... First the fact that you have to buy the PPC viewing software is an absolute joke!

Second, I noticed some weird lag on my network and set a sniffer free... I found that damn Slingbox was running port scans on my network! After doing some digging on the internet, I found that was fairly common!!

There is NO reason for ANY device to ever run port scans on our network, that thing is dangerous as far as I'm concerned...
Ok. sorry you feel that way. I use it on my ppc, my mac and my pc... best tech device I have ever purchased for travelling honestly. No Port Scans here, and no lag. I even use it to watch games on my deck on my macbook pro. Personally, I disagree. I love it. Sorry you don't feel the same. To each his own.
