The problem has to do with the magnet and the top power (screen on/off) button on top of the 6700. If you move the magnet over the top button even with the phone out of the case, it will turn the phone on. It generally will happen with cases that use the larger magnets.

This is b/c the keyboard uses a small magnet and sensor to tell when your keyboard is open. I took apart a broken 6700 to see what was inside, and I noticed that.

There are several devices from HTC that have issues with magnetic cases. HTC included magnetic cases with the T-Mobile SDA, yet if you used the phone in the case and received a called, pressing the Answer button for some reason would reject the call. There were some other fishy things that would happen if you started doing things right after it had been in the case for a while.

K, so can anyone suggest a case for me then? I'm looking for one that is horizontal (in case I got that mixed up, it goes front to back WITH the belt, instead of up and down)...
I don't care how it closes, etc. I just want one that is horizontal... Thanks...
