I did notice that the original (fish background) lock screen uses just 6.8 MB program memory. When I run yours, it uses 17.2 MB program memory. That seems to be the reason it takes so long to load. It has to clear that much memory and then get this prog. into it. I know the original had his source files. You might play around with it some and see where all the extra mem. usage comes from.

Thanks! Can you tell me what app you used to monitor this or are you using an emulator? I tried using the taskmgr but couldn't figure out how to minimize the slider.

Another thing I'm noticing is battery drain. You ought to write this so that when the unit is powered off it suspends checking the clock. As well as when it is active it doesn't check the SECONDS. Checking seconds off seems to drain the battery badly (this has been shown in other apps)

Could that be from him using UPX to repack it?

Another option (heh heh). Option to have it autoactivate when you turn the PPC on (power button) I use onlock pro and it's great for that.

Sure, I was just using iLauncher. It displays the currently remaining program memory. When I close a prog. it takes a second to update, so I can see how much that prog. was using by subtracting the original number from the number it updates to. Rough, I know, but when I ran the original fish one, it jumped from about 12.5 to 19 MB available. When I ran yours, after closing the lock, my program memory was all the way down at 1.8 MB! When I closed the lock, it jumped back up to 19 MB.
