Re: MIN number wrong in CDMA

I'm a sprint user myself, but my dad's about to switch from AT&T to Verizon, so I thought I'd get him an Apache for Christmas and cook a custom ROM for him.

I thought I'd make it real easy for him to activate by presetting the MSL and MSID #s, but after searching this forum and others, it looks like Verizon's not like Sprint and the way they activate a phone is handled differently.

With Sprint, the MSL and MSID are usually the same - your 10 digit phone #, including area code. But that's not the case with Verizon, right?

Is there anything I can preset for him to make the port over from AT&T to Verizon easier?

Any reason a VZW person can't activate a 6700 with a WM 6.1 ROM installed (I used the 20775 kitchen and MobileMatt's M2D OEM)?

My dad's in another state, so if I have to flash it back to the stock VZW ROM so he can activate, he'd have to ship it back to me to customize - which would really suck for him to be without a phone for a week or so....

Thanks...
