MIN number wrong in CDMA
I was messing with my phone with CDMA workshop and the MIN number on nam1 is is not my number. When I try to change it back and make a call I get the American Roaming network. If I leave the wrong MIN in it it will make and recive calls just fine. Does anyone know why it is doing this or how to fix it?

On Sprint, MIN1 is your phone number without the area code. MIN2 IS the area code. MSID is the entire 10 digit phone number.

Re: MIN number wrong in CDMA
The number that is in there is a 10dig number. I had my number ported over when I signed up for sprint. The dir number is my and the min is not mine. Is it possable that when someone calles me and dial my dir # it send it through my min number?

Re: MIN number wrong in CDMA
My # is ported from US Cell to Verizon.
Same thing is on my Apache. And not just on my Apache, was on my LG8100 as well (phone before 6700). Min is a VZW registered # and MSID is my original 10digit US Cell #. Guessing that VZW does a # forward/port on there side so they don't have to program in non-VZW numbers in there system but still support the number portability. |

Re: MIN number wrong in CDMA
I'm a sprint user myself, but my dad's about to switch from AT&T to Verizon, so I thought I'd get him an Apache for Christmas and cook a custom ROM for him.
I thought I'd make it real easy for him to activate by presetting the MSL and MSID #s, but after searching this forum and others, it looks like Verizon's not like Sprint and the way they activate a phone is handled differently. With Sprint, the MSL and MSID are usually the same - your 10 digit phone #, including area code. But that's not the case with Verizon, right? Is there anything I can preset for him to make the port over from AT&T to Verizon easier? Any reason a VZW person can't activate a 6700 with a WM 6.1 ROM installed (I used the 20775 kitchen and MobileMatt's M2D OEM)? My dad's in another state, so if I have to flash it back to the stock VZW ROM so he can activate, he'd have to ship it back to me to customize - which would really suck for him to be without a phone for a week or so.... Thanks... |
