I picked the value that worked without skipping nearly 100% of the time in WMP. This value can be raised if you do not notice skipping or if you use another app.

Problem with Windows button
First of all, GREAT job! I'm just getting into the whole PPC thing and I've had my VX6700 for 2 weeks. It's a whole new ballgame with your ROM. The thing finally feels like a finished product.
Anyway...my Windows button is inoperative. It worked fine running the stock Verizon ROM. It is the ONLY important thing wrong with my current build. Any ideas would be most welcome. Thanks, aa

Is there any way to disable SmartDial? I really, really hate smartdial. I seem to remember being able to disable it before, but for the life of me I can't find the setting.
Great job on the ROM, btw. love it.

Quick noob report. Flashed your latest on Friday to my VZW 6700. I've had the phone for months but use it professionally so was reluctant to try an alternative ROM.
Added in generic email push, Google maps, SOTI Pocket Controller. Machine is fast and solid with tons of space. Only problem I have had is that BT headset wouldn't end calls at one point. Soft reset fixed it. I'm very greatful for the work. Dan

I still like the ROM but have run into a couple of problems. I can't use the ##FEATURE code to get to setups. Wmodem gives a "comm open" error. Internet sharing just sits there when I click "connect". When I click "disconnect" it blinks the radio button the first time but that's all. Has anyone tethered a VZW phone with this ROM?
I have tried searching but this board is big. Thanks, Dan

FastRX8: Thanks for checking that out. Will have to dig into that at a later time. Glad to hear your rom is working well for you. Custom roms are great aren't they
 sleepydoc: Thanks for the suggestions. MS VC should be the latest bits. If you are seeing otherewise, PM me the files that are newer and I will do a comp and see if they need updating. Bejeweled is still in the rom. Also be careful with PIE cache on the SD. This was how I did it initaly in the ROM, but caching to the SD can casue DSOD's and end the end was not worth it with all the free space in the internal memory. Running from SD should be for large files or media (maps or mp3's) and all else should go to internal unless you really have installed a lot. watersigndj: Did your issue get resolved with the reg changes? aa777888: There should not be an issue with the windows button. You can reset teh button mapping under setting -> Buttons or do a hard reset and reset it back to defaults. Some apps will chnage the button mapping. Voice command for instance will re-mao the start to voice dial. Wargazm: "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\SmartDialing]" change "bEnableDialer"=dword" from "1" to "0". I prefer it off as well and set this off in my private rom. Just leave it on for everyone else as they can decide how they want it. dang: I am not on VZW so can not comment on the ## codes for that network. Ill have to deffer that to other VZW users. But if it is like sprint, you would need to load the correct extended rom cabs to enable this feature. Also when the rom was first put out there were reports of issues on VZW, these went away the next day as there wre issues with the network. It could possibly be what you are seeing. As to teathering, I teather all the time, BT and USB. What are you using that is having issues? If on usb, try disabling your usb connection in activesync as well. You should not have to, but it could neagte other things. You may want to try a hard reset and see if it works with just the rom and the extended vzw rom. -saridnour

Saridnour: no joy on resetting the buttons. Been there, done that. I did do the button 5 fix for Voice Command which worked.
It seems to be related to Wisbar. None of the press and hold commands for the softkeys that are defined in Wisbar work either. I'm working around the problem right now with Smartskey, using it to remap Start to press and hold the left softkey. dang: just as an additional data point, I'm a Verizon user and some but not all ## features worked for me. Field test mode didn't, but that doesn't matter because I can use fieldtrial.exe. The code for going into program mode did work, that's really the only one you'd need to use anyways (e.g. to change voice codec's, etc.)

aa777888: The Button "5" fix should be in place in the Rom already. To add VC, all you need to do is add the exe and mapp the button. "Out of the box", the only wisbar "press and hold" features are: Press and hold start to go to the today screen, Press and hold the close to go to settings. These are verified as working defaults. Just amke sure to verify the button mapping in both wisbar and button settings. If still an issue, you may want to hard reset and make sure you do a correct hard reset that clears ALL data as some people were having issues with this earlier as the depicted image in the update tool shows an incorrect hard reset sequence (shows a differeent device)!! All buttons should be mapped to default after a hard reset including the start. After a hard reset (and no other apps loaded, incuding the extended rom) if you are still seeing issues with buttons, there could be an issue with your device.

You know, I didn't have a copy of the .exe for VC by itself, so I had to do the complete install. I wonder if that screwed something up. I had to add the button 5 fix. I also suspect my addition of the eten dialer caused me to have to rename the dlls to get the pictures and videos fixed as well. Hey, if it was easy anyone could do it
 My build is sufficiently complex now that I don't really want to do the hard reset and start over. Everything works except that start button and I've worked around that with Smartskey. Unless it all goes unstable I think I'll muddle through until pr7 comes out  aa
