Tasks

First of all this is great! I appreciate all the hard work you put into this.

My question is whether or not anyone else is having a problem sorting their tasks by due date. For some reason it will only sort by subject.

Any help would be appreciated!

Does WMP still skip when you have mort associated??

saridnour-- Yes, I hadn't noticed but you are right. Mort will play, pause, next track, previous track from the headset. Great!

Here's what I've found out about the skipping:

1. (With BitPool = 48, which has been my "default" for a long time) WMP skips badly in the first 20 sec when I start play from the device. No Voice Command involved. (I saw no reason to experiment with VC and WMP since I've done that so many (many!) times in the past... lots of skipping!)

2. Mort does not skip (even with BitPool = 80) when I start play from the device OR when I start play with Voice Command by using #5 button. (In the latter case, the actual command is issued through the headset, it's just that I don't initiate VC with the headset button.)

3. On the other hand, if I initiate VC at the headset button and issue the command "play X", then there are always two short skips between 6 sec and 8 secs into play.

I conclude that this skipping in Mort has a different cause from the skipping we hear in WMP. The skipping in Mort is a function of my headset VC activation button. In many other regards Mort is the perfect player. This skipping doesn't happen with TCPMP or PocketPlayer. Maybe it's related somehow to ACVR?

Another problem (that might actually affect other people) is that I cannot get Mort to play pls streams from Orb. Mort opens, say it's connecting, it displays the song title, but then it stops. Mort also won't play asx streams from Orb.

I modified a fellows rlToday Theme a bit and added the following:
- provided on phone button unheard voicemails
- provided on sms button unread sms messages
- provided on mail button unread activesync messages (direct push)
- provided on homemail button unread imap/pop messages

1.) Installs rlToday
2.) Installs rlToday Theme
3.) Sets rlToday Theme
4.) Installs WisBar Advance Theme (Macbook, Black and White)
5.) Sets WisBar Advance Theme
6.) Copies Ring Tones
7.) Copies Various Today Backgrounds for your choosing from now today selection
8.) Changes Windows Mobile Boot screen to Appl)e logo
9.) Unchecks from Today screen standard apps, exception of custom programs you added you will have to uncheck
10.) Install a few additional buttons for future options
11.) Soft Resets
12.) Should have a nice looking phone

All you have to do is install WisBar Advanced 2 at the beginning or not, if you don't you remain with the standard wm5 look. It was build on this ROM and I am making minor updates right now.

Interested?

Nice thing is rlToday is Xml based and fast, only down side is it doesn't yet detect landscape mode so the theme will scroll in landscape, but I find that I don't use the theme in landscape I use it while browsing or email only.

Take care,
Wow, I'd like that too.
Is rlToday a replacement for iLauncher?
Would it work inside of or instead of something like PocketBreeze?
Sounds interesting.

I see that there are duplicate entries for alarms 1, 2, 3, etc. How do I set the second alarm 4 (echo) as my alarm? It shows up in my Windows directory but is not listed in my alarm options as a choice.

I've loaded it up and it looks great. Reader works fine so far so that's (for me) a great memory saver.

I'm having trouble getting data service though. I've only loaded the following from EXT Rom:

Cert_SPCS.CAB
Customize_SPCS.sa.CAB
IOTA.sa.CAB

Can anyone else with data service on Sprint confirm this was all they needed? It was working fine under PR5.

I started with those and could not get my data working. This is the list of cabs I ended up using in order:
CAB:\Extended_ROM\Cert_SPCS.sa.CAB
CAB:\Extended_ROM\Cert_SPCS.CAB
CAB:\Extended_ROM\IOTA.sa.CAB
CAB:\Extended_ROM\Customize_SPCS.sa.CAB

Saridnour, I just did a hard reset and REinstall of pr6. The first thing I tried is the comm mgr and the problem remains. The soft keys keep the same label as the previous application ("New" and "Menu" if I access comm mgr directly from messaging, "Calendar" and "Contacts" if accessed directly from Today screen) and they don't respond in any way. Either from the touch screen OR the soft key.

If you'd like me to export my reg keys, you'll have to instruct me on how to do so...

Just to elminate the option of a "bad install", I REdownloaded pr6 from the server, did a HARD reset, reinstalled pr6, another immediate HARD reset, did NOT install anything from my VZW ext ROM.

Can you give me the steps you are using or is this happening any way you open comm mgr? I can click the services icon and launch it as well as press and hold on button 4, both of these bring up comm mgr and I have access to the soft keys. Ill do a comp on the reg entries again tonight to verify the differences in the event I am over looking something but when I made pr6 I just did a compare to my test rom and made the edits so it was a side by side comp and change. Also are you using the reader app?

Also if one of you want to export your reg keys for each of the 4 branches, zip and pm them to me, I can do the same and use this as a base to see what is different and can then take that back to the PR6 hive source for comp as well. doing this would be better as what I have now works and yours does not so it would be the best place to start.

Saridnour, I am having the same issues with the Comm Manager. As other reported I went through the steps of installing the ROM and hard resetting. After going through the normal install steps and letting the No Junk customizations install I tried to access Comm Manager, as the others described it just displays the soft buttons from the last screen and they are unresponsive.

Thanks hoefx, adding Customize_SPCS.sa.CAB did the trick. These four seem to be the minimum set then.
