The button by the usb port is for soft resets...hold down both soft keys AND press in the soft reset, that's a hard reset...don't forget to press Y when it tells you to...

I am also a Verizon user and I have not been allowing any of the VZW customization. The only thing I'm doing is the *228 programming.

I'm pretty happy with this install so far. I'm still playing with it to sort out all the bugs I'm seeing. Though in general, it looks like I have to get used to a new way of doing things.

I set my new bluetooth headset to the stereo and headset profiles. Unfortunately, I find that ALL the PPC sounds are routed to my headset now - I can't see the battery lasting too long. So for now, I'm just using the headset profile. Is it possible to just have the stereo profile pipe to the headset with certain programs only? IE Mortplayer?

Also - this is a question that Saridnour had already partially answered. I have the full version of XCPUScalar. I'm trying to replace the EXE which I see in the windows directory. However, I can't seem to extract the EXE to my version - from the CAB. Is that possible without installing? I also tried to install over the current ROM - and I'm not allowed. Had I known, I would have copied the EXE from my phone before I did the hard reset and installed Saridnours ROM. Can I somehow extract the EXE from the CAB I have?

INDIANA_B0NER: Did you restore your data from an earlier rom (spb backup or copying the vol files)? Did you hard reset after the upgrade (two soft keys on front + reset button) confirmed with a y/n dialog to clear? Note: image in update shows incorrect hard reset buttons for the 6700.

My bad, I meant to say it worked with the original ROM. It hasn't worked for any 3.5 ROM I've used.

So far very very cool. The only things I am noticing is not getting notification of calls or voicemail at times. And the today screen seems to not respond. Like when I have a reminder or a notification and I click on it or select it nothign happens. or sometimes nothing happens when I click on something else to open it. Usually I have to soft reset. I do have Mobile Shell and Pocket + running on here. Could that be what's wrong? Too much on top of the stuff you already added into the ROM?

I tied to install and I get a install unsuccessful message.

i think ill be upgrading tomorrow.. despite how im not really having any problems right now..

my main question was xcpuscaler, can we replace that with the full version? will the rom allow it? id like auto cpu enabled for battery preservation.

the first thing i do with these is disable wisbar so i free things up a bit but alo lose my battery indicator.. do you know how i can display the stock battery indicator? preferably without installing a 3rd party battery indicator.

i think that might be it.. well.. have you played with the iphone skin at all sarirnour? maybe it should go over pr7
