Bring up your phone keypad, click Menu, options, services, then highlight time synchronization and click the Get Settings button. Make sure the time sync button is UNchecked. If that doesn't keep your Activesync closed let me know, but more that likely that's the problem.
Not sure if I understand your battery question. You simply slide the old one off and put the new one on. You shouldn't need another battery though. You're battery life will be much better once you fix Activesync and should last you all day.

Thanks Jim,
Trying the time sync thing now. When I would change to an extended battery on the 66, you would plug in the power and the backup battery would hold it till you put the new one on. It would soft reset, but not hard. I don't know if I'll buy an extended for this one, as it's chunky enough already! Steve |

I think the 6600 was WM2003, and would basically hard reset if your battery went fully dead. The 6700 is WM5. WM5 was designed to prevent this. If you completely lose battery life, the phone will still have all your stuff on it, kinda like the Palm's do.

Great, that's good to know. Not that I'd let the battery die!
Jim, that was the problem with ASync, worked like a charm. Quote:
