Thumbs up New Stylus design

Well ... After loosing five (5), I ordered - from utstar direct - a replacement 3-pak. What arrived was a newly designed stylus that may possibly be a spring-loaded berring!! Now what happens when it's stored is a faint click. It's about freak'n time!

Cheers

Verizon sells the same stylus when you order online. I have been using for 6 months and it has fallen out once when I dropped my phone playing football on concrete. Otherwise has not fallen out. These stylus' are the answer to this thread. No modifications needed at all. Also as far as the card falling out. I use the program that notifies you when your card is taken out. I lost one 2 g card thats enuff. Notifyme is the name of the program and it is in the kitchen.

Unfortunately the ball bearing seems to wear a trail in the plastic and after a couple months I had to put a bend in the last of the three ( that !&*^%$# 3 pack cost me 36$ )

3 pack from verizon online is (.99 I believe. I have been using for 6 months without losing and don't see any wear from ball bearing in mine. May be different brand.

ok so here's a new one. a few weeks ago, randomly, my stylus decided to stop going in all the way. now there's maybe 1/4 a centimeter that sticks up. and when it is pressed all the way down, it springs back up, to the point where i can almost shoot my stylus out of the phone. as amusing as that is, here is the really weird part: if i have any sort of text input open on the phone, when i press the stylus all the way in, i get random combinations of k's x's and z's. for example, if i had been typing this on my 6700 and pressed the stylus in, i would get something like this: kzxkzxxxkzzxkzx. yep, weird.

I bent my stylus in half a bit so it has resistance sliding in and out. It also puts pressure on the top, middle, and bottom of the stylus housing that provides it with more contact points than that of a straight OEM stylus. I modified my phone with CLaunch and PhoneAlarm to make it more thumb-friendly, as I am an EMT and student, and having to use a stylus to call hospitals or send quick texts is a real pain. Also, check out pens that have combined stylus/pen chambers. I used one a lot last year before I modified the interface and it worked nicely. It's been a little over a year and half and I'm on my first stylus.
