XV6700 AKU3.3 GoodLink Issues

I client of my company has a large stock of XV6700's that were recently upgraded to AKU3.3. When Goodlink Client Version 5 was released, they began having data issues. I need to either find a solution, or a way to revert back to AKU2. So far Verizon hasn't been any help, and Good has been non-responsive. Here is more detail from our technical team:



[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']The error code: error 37: Data call Failure, miscellaneous erroneous IP setup[/FONT]
[FONT='Arial','sans-serif'] This is not a Goodlink error. This is a device error for data connectivity failure[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']Goodlink client version: V5.0.3.23, or the current version.[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']If the device is soft reset, it will successfully initiate the first data call. Subsequent data calls will fail and the device will have to be soft reset again.[/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']If the device is hard reset to remove goodlink, the error will not occur. [/FONT]

[FONT='Arial','sans-serif']Can anyone help me out a bit??? Due to contract details, if we can't get the devices to work we will be forced to upgrade them all to XV6800's.

This error could come from many things and some as simple as just an authentication error from user name/password or even provisioning for a data plan. I dont believe GoodLink is the cause personally because it is only an app and while it replies ON the connection, it doesnt MAKE the connection. How many phones is this happening on since the GoodLink upgrade?

For the devices that have been updated, all of them. From what I can tell through research, it appears Verizon has been having this problem on the 6700 since it's release. Though they claim it's UTStarcom's issue, and vice versa. However, it became more common with the release of AKU3 and whenever there is a third-party program that requires a near-constant data connection.

Motorola Good Technology Group recently started an online forum called “Be Good” for its customers at www.good.com/begood . It's a community for mobile professionals. I recommend checking out the site to see if any information is currently posted or starting a new thread to see if anyone has experienced a similar problem.

Unfortunately that community hasn't been any help. At this point, I just need to find a method of getting these devices back to AKU2 ....
