Stupid move...any thoughts?

So the little grey rubber strip on the back of my 6700 fell off the other day and I decided I'd reattach it. I put some super glue in the slot, pressed the strip on, and waited 30 seconds for the glue to dry. Things seemed to be fine as the strip no longer came off.

However, what I didn't notice when I put the glue in was that the three slots under the strip were actually three holes that goes through the back to the battery. Long story short, I have successfully glued my battery cover to the battery.

The good news is that the phone still works great. The bad news is that I can't currently get the backing off. Any ideas for how I might be able to remedy this without damaging the phone or the battery? I'm afraid to try to force it off lest I break something in the process, but would like it off in the event that I ever need to change the battery.

Thanks,
Matthew
