It's got to be a .wav file...paste it in the windows folder on your device and it'll show up in the list of options for message tones...

You can also use a program like PockeMax PhoneAlarm. That will allow you to use almost any type of sound file.
I use Nero Wave Editor to convert sound files to WAV/MP3/WMA. WMP has a converter that will change most sound files to WMAs so you can use them as ringtones. |
