how to set a d/l tone for text message??

can someone tell me how to be able to set a tone i downloaded to play when i recieve a text or voicemail. or tell me how to change the folder that the ppc uses to look in for tones.

It's got to be a .wav file...paste it in the windows folder on your device and it'll show up in the list of options for message tones...

Okay, I just tried this and it didn't work. It still showed up under only the incoming call options...

You can also use a program like PockeMax PhoneAlarm. That will allow you to use almost any type of sound file.
I use Nero Wave Editor to convert sound files to WAV/MP3/WMA.
WMP has a converter that will change most sound files to WMAs so you can use them as ringtones.
