Unhappy STUCK IN EV-DO can not receive calls PLEASE HELP

STUCK IN EV WILL NOT RECEIVE CALLS!!

Recently upgraded to 6.1 and no problems except for one.

My phone shows EV constantly. I can not receive calls at all. As soon as I try to place a call, EV switches to 1X and i lose signal for about a second and then it comes back and places the call?????

As soon as I disconnect my call, the phone goes back to EV mode and I am unabable at that point to recieve calls at all.

I should add that I do not recieve text messages or voice mails until I try to place a call and the phone switches back to 1X.

I spent 1 hour on the phone with Verizon and they tried to give me a new A-key and did not work. They also looked at a couple of other settings only to tell me that they had to escalate the problem to a different department and they should be calling me back within 5 days. (((HOW WILL THEY CALL ME BACK)) Hopefully my land line number.

i have tried everything and read through forums and have not found any answers.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

You double posted, either hard reset and go from there or re-flash your device. This is why I advise all you guys not to get into WM6 but no one listens. With your post count as low as it is (2) I assume you neither asked any solid Qs or read any one elses issues and problems with WM6

I tried but did not know how to delete the other post. I am not that big of a noob but you must know that I flashed back to factory after this and that did not fix it. BTW H/r did not work. Going to try to reflash and see if that works.

Do you know how to delete a post? Thanks.

Please tell me why you wanted to go to WM6 and what you think you are going to gain from running it? What you need to understand is although WM6 was forcefully made available for the 6700, it was never intended to run because the hardware in the device cannot take advantage of what WM6 has to offier. Read a bit through the threads and you will see many people still have issues with WM6. Those that do not (or say they do not) either are running a streamlined version or have been doing this for a long time and are able to tweak it and stabilize it.

Thanks for your info.

You must know that I have flashed my 6700 at lease 12 times without a problem using HelmiC's rom and the kitchen.

This is a new problem using the same rom base and kithen that I have always used.

BTW do you know how I can delete the other post?

Also, the flash did not fix the problem.

Again, I am not that much of a noob.

Re: STUCK IN EV-DO can not receive calls PLEASE HELP

Well ok, lets conclude.

You hard reset and that didnt fix it.

You re-flashed and that didnt fix it either.

So if you hard reset and you flashed your device (just like formatted the OS on your HDD and reloaded a new OS) and that still didnt fix it, then you have other issues. I am curious on if you never had any issues before that you flashed at least 12x before? You cannot delete the post and will have to PM a mod.

You are either leaving some info out, have a bad flash (ROM) or a bad device. Only three options you have friend.

BTW, since you are familiar with WM6, what do you like about it more than WM5 and what can you do in it that you cannot do in WM5. Im curious. I did WM6 for a while and went back. However, I am looking forward to WM7.

jeez, never realized that weedahoe was ppcgod. To say that 6 (and 6.1) added nothing is wrong, as I've told you before. Think what you want, but try not to be an ******* to people that are asking a question. To the OP, make sure you're using "hybrid" under mode of operation in your phone settings.

Thanks for your help. Since I flashed back to factory thinking that would fix the problem, I dont have the option of using hybrid mode.

On the other hand, have you had any great success with anyone elses rom(s) I am thinking that I may have had an issue with this last flash and the kitchen.
