USB support
I've been playing with Kirvin's, Sar's, etc. That do not have this fix. Been waiting for the release to cook my own.
So this will allow you to disable the advanced functionality and use plain old USB serial using the USB to PC utility? Thanks. |

I'm now able to use ActiveSync over USB without dropping my VPN connection. This was a must for syncing a 40MB mailbox. It was just too slow over bluetooth. The only problem I still have is that I sometime still get an "unknown device" error on one of my machine unless I power off the PDA, put it in the cradle, and then turn on the power. This seems to work well, but is annoying. |

and in fact, adding these two entries caused active sync to connect, but give an error in the end I have the clean & simple for sprint 3.5 loaded.

All the above does is change the way RAS works, so using activesync with advanced networking on has a better chance of working with a firewall on the pc.

rndis/serial is broken in these versions to an extent, but you can get around it by downloading this exe to your phone or storage card and running it from your device.
