6700 to Samsung I760

My contract with Verizon is up in October and I am subject to their 2 year replacement phone deal. I know I will have out of pocket costs, but I wanted to get some opinions on the Samsung I760 phone.

I have a 6700 right now that is in OK shape, my biggest complaint is that when there is background noise its very hard to hear through the handset. This is more noticable for the 6700 then my old (just a phone)unit. I was wondering how the 760 compared, and how does the Pocket PC portion of it compare?

Does anyone know if the 760 has an accessible GPS? Also what about ROM upgrades that I have been enjoying off this forum? Anything for the 760?

Lastly what are some general opinions good and bad about the 760 and if you were to upgrade from the 6700 what would you consider.

I think I would wait for the HTC Diamond.

The biggest issue with the i760 that I have heard is that no one has been able to crack the samsung software.
So no kitchen or way to make your own rom.
And lack of coding behind it so not a lot of custom software for the i760.
