6800 is upgradeable to GPS/Rev A but if your carrier doesn't have a stock GPS Rom then you would hafta downgrade your radio (GPS to Non-GPS) to revert to stock ROM (for warranty issues and such) which of course is not recommended... but that's a whole 'nother can o' worms

Re: Yes or No?
I will also concur with no "Internal GPS" access for GPS software on the 6700.
"External BT GPS" is the only way for GPS software to work on the 6700.

Re: Yes or No?
I think Unknown Zone answered best for the 67. You can do reg edits to somewhat enable the GPS on the 67 but you still need your own maps on a card and an external GPS unit like a Holux 240 or something similiar. The 68 can do aGPS which is good also but not as pinpoint accurate as GPS

I have Keychain GPS, small size of a fob, works in the pockets/ignition area when in the car. Two Thumbs UPS on my experience. Here is a pic of what it looks like. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DN |

Re: Yes or No?
not a bad looking unit (that keyfob one) but I figure if I'm going to have ONE ugly antenna sticking out of the phone, why not make it two and make it useful :P lol. Course I wouldn't have it plugged in 24/7 (or would I lol).
and I don't think it comes with the 2gb microSD card they speak of, I think they are just mentioning that it is capable of taking a 2gb microSD card (which I do have from my previous RokrZ6m). I just bought my 6700 and it's not even here yet and I'm already looking at buying accessories lol. When/if I decide to pick one of these up I'm sure I'll be back on here sharing how much it sucks or how cool it is Cheers! |
