The Mobile Live app expired 3-31, it will not install nor will it sync anything now. The latest beta was just posted on connect (tonight). You must use that one now. I am sure it will turn up around these boards sometime soon.

"Windows Live for Mobile Apr.2.07" = nothing but problems.
I'm confused as hell. All I want to do is have hotmail delivered to my outlook on my phone. Ideally, I would like it to be pushed...automatically. Unfortunately all I'm finding is empty promises, and tons of possibilities. - The above mentioned "Windows Live for Mobile" appears to let you set it for automated syncing, but then goes back to "manual" as soon as you close the option window. - It also had Instant messaging problems. Such as not communicating with my yahoo instant messenger on my laptop. Perhaps it just will not allow new yahoo "buddies" to be added. I don't know how all these "Live" packages are different from each other, I just received this in my email for "Live Mail": http://beta.mobile.msn.com/pc/en-us/merch_mail.aspx |

this is the best way to get hotmail pushed. even though the setting for automatic syncing returns to manual each time you check it, once set it actually works properly. I personally dont use msn messenger, but this installation is worth it for the push mail.

mbial is correct, push hotmail works even though it goes back to manual every time you check that setting. Unfortunately, it also happens after a soft reset.
My only issue with this program is that it appears to be a huge resource hog. Before cranking up my glyphcache for emu gaming, I had 30 megs of Ram available. Cranking up my cache from 4 to 12 megs - meant I had 26 megs of RAM on startup. With Windows Live installed, I now have 21 megs of RAM on startup. And it gets drastically reduced throughout the day. After about 2 hours of push e-mail, I show 17 megs of RAM. I'll see how low it gets. My 6700 is slower too - I've lost much of the "snap" I got from an AKU 3.5 ROM. The application is impressive, and saves me some Today screen real estate - but I think it's too resource hungry for me to keep. |

Well...I'm not convinced that it's worth it. But it does resolve the issue of getting my hotmail to my phone. Not sure if it's even working as a true "push" because I sent myself a test message and didn't receive it on my phone for about 30-40 minutes...and when it came through so did 4 other messages.
Also, it appears to be slowing things down considerably, but I've yet to do any "before/after" speed testing. I always use real-world testing against software I have installed such as TomTom navigator, which is now taking 45 seconds to start.
