Thank You

Yes you rocked this... Although, NOW I have like a dozen accounts it asks me from which I would like to send the FLIX or PIX? How do I delete these additional accounts so It knows to just send through the new one that SAYS PIX messages..

reisa911 12-07-2007 06:41 PM

hi can you pls tell me how to install update for the SMS, i know its a simple install but i know very little about computers and have no idea what to do or how to install a cab file. thanks very much.

Updated 9/17 with the new server settings. Please use the simple install.

Simple one install method
Advantages no registry editing, and no configuring. Also removed stock loaded pictures and sounds saving about .5mb. Just install the .cab and everything is already set up for you. Enjoy the new extremely simple method of getting Pic/Vid Mail. :thumbleft:

Download simple install .zip with .cab inside HERE

Outgoing Sprint MMS

I see on other phone forums within PPCGeeks that other people are having trouble sending MMS over Sprint. Anyone else here having this problem besides me. I am using the Arcsoft included in the kitchen and it has been working for me until like 2 days ago. I can receive (from Verizon) but can not send even after a soft reset. Anyone?

Unknown Zone 01-30-2008 09:59 PM

yea i noticed that to....everything was fine on (3.0.6.22) that is what is working for me at the time....now I cant send...keep getting error.

chetlet 01-30-2008 10:06 PM

...same thing here...

Jamey 01-30-2008 10:09 PM

Glad to see others are having this problem also. Are you getting " Message delivery failed. Or message receipt failed." Maybe we just need a change in the address.

chetlet 01-30-2008 10:11 PM

" Message delivery failed. Or message receipt failed." - and it happens within seconds of sending....

Unknown Zone 01-30-2008 10:13 PM

yep same thing both come up.....on the failure notice...and it was just working these past few weeks......well something changed.

inferno14u 01-31-2008 07:12 AM

The only thing I can think of is that the address to the mms server has been changed slightly but the weird thing is, I went online on my computer and tried to send a picture and video and it didn't work from there either.

Ok, I just tried again from the computer and it worked.....

RPG*The_Tulip 01-31-2008 08:04 PM

I am getting the same problem. When I hit the send and receive button when there is no picture qued up. It gives me an error at the bottom... Synchronizing error... So I am guessing that the address did change. Didnt sprint just send out a auto update for the mogul on the 26th...

cabezza 01-31-2008 08:31 PM

same issue, i tried pinging the ip 63.215.195.152 which is resolved as mms.sprintpcs.com and of course it timed out... obviously that leaves us out for now

Slwitek 01-31-2008 09:03 PM

I have successfully sent a MMS from my wife's Fusic to my PPC with no problem on the Sprint network. Must be a PPC specific problem of not being able to send?

Thinking1 02-01-2008 07:22 AM

Im having the same issue.. I can receive MMS messages just fine but I cant send them at all.. I have tried sending through Palm threaded SMS and I have tried sending through the arcsoft program as well as the outlook portion on my 6700 and nothing is going out.. They are all sitting in my out box.. Error message says, "Message Delivery Failed. Or Message Receipt Failed". This problem seems to be isolated to the PPC-6700 and its only affecting the sending of MMS.. Calling all GURUS, (Helmi_C, luv2chill , gguruusa , Tiermann, Naiga, Kdoweb, Colonel, ImCoKeMaN, Kolano, CaptainJager , Polargoat, 6700Yuma , vboyz103, LennySh , pierocksmysocks ,Mr. HUGI ,The_Omni, willysp, Wideawake), "HELP, The Apache users need you!!!"

lava96 02-01-2008 07:54 AM

I have a Treo 700wx and I am getting the exact same problem. Please help. I had no problems on Sunday the 27th but on Monday the 28th the problem began. Hope this narrows it down.

deraynged 02-01-2008 08:28 AM

same problem here. since i'm the person that always finds the latest cool app on my mogul, the other local htc users are looking to me to figure it out. HELP!!

spetrillo 02-01-2008 01:12 PM

I am working on this with a friend from Sprint. Corporate is being very quiet about it right now. If you notice in your MMS logs you will see a denial at the end of the send log....hmmm interesting!

Slwitek 02-01-2008 05:47 PM

I wonder how many of the people who have phones where MMS is not working are on the Sero plan? I also wonder if this is strictly a WM6 issue or are there people who still have WM5 having the same issues? MMMMMM

close2perfect26 02-01-2008 10:03 PM

Same Problem

I have a Treo 700wx and i get the retry now or retry later message, using WM5

samgirl9 02-02-2008 05:18 AM

Sprint mogul here, and same problem as everyone else, worked fine a few days ago, and I am getting the error message. HELP!!!

Slwitek 02-02-2008 11:12 AM

Received pic mail this morning Sprint to Sprint. Hopefully this is back working!

The Mms version is: 144
the response status is: 225
the response text is: Service
Denied!.

Yes, I noticed that. I especially like the exclamation point at the end. Is it time to gang up on Sprint? I'd looove to lead the charge!

Yes I do. I am not having any luck figuring this out. We need some help from those in the know!

I'll beed to know how many are affected and what PPC's I assume Mogul, Touch, Apache, I wonder if Treo WM devices are affected.

Nevermind, Sprint is stonewalling and I think it's time to let it go. Sprint simply does not support picmail for pocket PC phones, period. I believe they figured a way to block the third party MMS we had been using. It doesn't make sense that Sprint is locking Pocket PC's but it really appears that is what's going on.

I think that we as a community have the power to pressure them into revising their policy about MMS and Pocket PC's. I understand that we are in smaller numbers than regular phone users, but with all of the new PPC phones coming out now to battle the iPhone, you would think that the last thing that they would want to do is help push people to other providers. Between here, PDAPhoneHome, and the other online communities, I am sure that we can get enough people to make Sprint take notice that we are serious about wanting full functionality of the devices that we spent 300+ for.

If so, call *2 like I did and complain. We could orchestrate it via these forums and start say Monday. I still think that Sprint's position is going to be "We don't support picmail on Pocket PC phones". I think it's a poor customer service issue since I could go to AT&T and get a Tilt and be picmailing walking out the door. I was looking at upgrading to a Touch, and expanding service with my wife's phone too, but we may be looking at other carriers, and soon. I'm really sick and tired of having to bitch at Sprint to get anything that other carriers offer, and this is the last straw.

Staypth 02-03-2008 01:04 AM

I am going to guess you are on Sprint.....just hold on.....the whole forum world knows there is a problem that Sprint has changed something...so that MMS will not work and fail....believe me people are working on this...when there is a fix......it will be posted...just check the above links here and there for a possible fix in the future when one comes up.

For the mean time...use 10digitphonenumber@pm.sprint.com via email to send pics......

omegax 02-03-2008 05:18 PM

Its so ironic that this site commonly has sprint banners at the top of the forum.. and yet the same community that supports them they take action to screw in the end. Just like sprint tv .. this was a deliberate attempt to lock out ppc users from using a service "they dont provide" but sure charge us for.

I was wondering that too. I am sero and on WM5 on my treo700wx...

inferno14u 02-04-2008 02:49 AM

I submitted a complaint to Sprint. I don't know how much good it will do, but I feel that at least I am letting them know how upset I am with them. If this doesn't get resolved by the time my contract is up, I will be sure to move to another provider.

Slwitek 02-04-2008 05:48 PM

I dont understand how Sprint cannot see that the lines between "business" phones and consumer phones have been blurred with the release of the iphone and others. I do not use my phone for business but I use just about all that it has to offer in terms of the software, wifi, etc. In my eyes, we should have access to everything that other Sprint users have access to. My phone is just the tool I have chosen...
By the way, Verizon XV6700 has pic mail! WTF!

Sprint has SPECIFICALLY targeted Pocket PC phones. If your # is registered as a non-picmail supported phone they are BLOCKING you from service. Check this thread on Sprint's own forum, which I joined yesterday to post my complaints. Look at post #5 on the thread....

This is interesting...I cannot believe a carrier would do this.

It was a real surprise to me too. Especially when they stated that it was too much trouble to process picmail from PPC phones, and that the programs caused "problems" with the devices. What a cop-out.

Pibe38 02-05-2008 06:18 PM

I have edited the title of the thread to reflect that this hack no longer works for Sprint users.

Sprint has found a way to block this hack.

Please refer to the following thread to learn how to send picture mail via e-mail:
