You sure about that date?

Is this just a jacked up WM5 or are there real advances? thanks for the knowledge.
Stability and speed. 3.x is much faster than the stock ROM that came with my Sprint 6700, and gives me almost no freezes (BSOD).

is it possible that sprint / micro$oft / HTC could take legal action again users who have unauthorized roms, claiming that they could in theory bring down the entire civilized world? i think sprint is able to tell what aku we have when we use evdo and also make a call, it woould seem real easy to send this info to the cell sites and to sprint.

That would be excellent publicity for Sprint. Yes your honor, this man was running an OS that we didn't authorize for his phone. Is that correct defendent? Yes your honor but the phone manufacturer is giving it away free. (judge) Can you explain why you don't want him to run the new OS on his phone? Certainly, your honor. How else can we get people to spend $500 on a 6800 when the only real improvement is a little more memory?

FUD

Sprint can't find it's backside with 2 hands and a flashlight. They sure don't send the AKU with every tcp/ip packet.

Nope. They have no way of knowing, nor should they care. It's your phone, you bought it, do whatever you want with it.

Back on topic, I would love to see

* WM6 for apache, quickly followed by
* Helmi rom kitched for WM6 for apache

That would be heaven indeed!

However, unless hell has frozen over, I'm banking on that not happening before summer, if ever. MS may push this hard if they're doing it for iPhone anti-PR, which is not a bad idea... but MS is the only one who could force the carriers to do this... otherwise they don't want us upgrading without buying a new handset.
