Would you or anyone for that matter, please tell me what this rom consists of.

Currently I'm using Helmi's 3.5
Take Helmi's 3.5, add in a bunch of bug fixes and performance tweaks, and then as mentioned in the first post:

I've been using (not intensively) for a day now and it seems great - thanks.

The only notable issue which I'd like them to resolve is the zoom in using Live Search (the issue of course could be Live Search but it worked with AKU 3.3). If you use your joystick to zoom in - it rarely works. Not sure why. It seems to initiate the zoom in feature but never completes it so you are left with the same image on your screen.

You can still go to the menu and zoom in.

Post Edit - my bad - I hadn't tried the double tap.

Uh oh

When I click Contacts, it opens for a split second then closes immediately.

Yeah, I'm new but I just got my phone a month ago and didn't know about all these sweet updates until last night so I've done a lot of my research. I couldn't figure this one out though.

Thanks for any help.

Did you remember to hard reset after flashing the rom or did you try to copy your pim over from the prev aku 2.x. Those are the only 2 things that could cause that.

Ok, I did this and phone booted back up. I did the calibration and everything looked fine. But then I got, "customization will start in 3 sec." Was that supposed to happen?

Sounds like you've never hard reset your phone before. When you hard reset, a routine runs that installs a bunch of programs you'll find in your extended ROM. You can press the reset button (just a soft reset) when that message appears, but before the 3 seconds elapse, and the customizations will not be installed. This is known as the hard-reset/soft-reset trick. For Verizon, you do not need any of the customizations at all (you have to set up your own data network session and you don't have pic messaging, but everything else works). I heard from a sprint person awhile back that at least some of the customizations for Sprint did have to be run.

So in short, yes, that's a good message to get. It's up to you whether you allow the customization to run.

I installed this one last night. After running the Clean and simple AKU 3.5 for any Apache rom earlier yesterday. Between both rom they both run well on my phone. But this one seemed to let me have a little more memory space back. Plus I got MSN back. I know people dont seem to like msn on their phone but for me since I have hotmail & msn messenger it makes it easier. Now if I could just get this rom with the voice speed dial thing, clear storage removed it would be perfect. But the work everyone is doing here is great and I do really appreciate it.

Perfect, this is just what I've been looking for. Didn't want to deal with all that custom stuff with all the programs I use personally. It was the only thing holding me back from 3.5. Thanks again.
