can anyone tell me what version of the Arcsoft MMS software is installed. I want to remove it from the ROM so I can use my Verizon Arcsoft MMS..

is there a way to remove the arcsoft MMS then install a verizon one after so flix messaging works? this would fix all of my problems and i could use 3.5 again.

that's what i'm trying to do.. however I need to get the cab of the version of Arcsoft MMS he installed so I can find out what files to remove from the ROM

I wanted to mention something about the A2DP hack for this particular Rom version. Initially, it would not work until I applied the following three registry hacks. Although the device could recognize A2Dp devices, the sound would skip throughout every song.

Add "Priority256 "= dword:60 (Use Dword Value)

HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Bluetooth/AudioGateway/Capability
(Dword:69)(Default is 37)

HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Bluetooth/AD2P/Settings/BitPool
(Dword: 60)(Default is 30)


Keep in mind that if one of the above entries is not present, you will have to add them. After I made these adjustments, my HT820 headset played awesome. Now if anyone knows how I can increase the volume via another registry hack with this particular ROM, please let me know. The volume is good now, but I just want it to scream at me when I play it. I want ear-drum-crush-volume…

I tried to attach three screen shots of the registry entries so hopefully they go through.

I installed the 3.5 No Junk and it works very well. Questions I have are: 1) Is the battery gage on top of screen supposed to be missing? 2) Wireless Modem, gets an error. I have read where others have it working, but I haven't been able to do it yet. Help please. Thankyou Bob.

It works... I was having the same problem as you.... but it does work....

1. Disconnect the Apache from PC
2. If you already have ActiveSync running on the PC.. Kill it in the task manager.
3. Start Int Sharing on the Apache
4. Connect the Apache to the PC...

Give this a try.... let me know if it worked for ya

in order for me to sync my phone with vista i need to uncheck the "enable advanced network functionality" but when i do that i get this message "failed to disable RNDIS to use serial".

can i get some help with this?

Any help would be appreciated, I keep getting the an error when connecting to PC, it connects then disconnects afte 30secs to 1min with the error "Unable to obtain a server assigned IP Address, try again later or enter one in the Network settings"

Now I understand about adding an IP address, but I have never needed to do this and if I really need to do this which adapter shoudl I use?

btw, I get the same error on both PCs at home & work PC, and only since I updated to this ROM or could be an installed program, i'll check the latter if someone could advise about the IP problem.

Hey Jeff... it's working great on my Alltel PPC-6700 except for one thing... the notorious Pictures and Videos freezeup. On previous ROMs I was able to overwrite the mfc80u.dll and msvcr80.dll files with the ones in the Windows/OEM directory, but there is no OEM dir in this ROM. Is this a reported problem with this ROM? And if this is the fix, does anyone have the DLLs that do work?

***EDIT*** OK, poked around the forum a little more and found the answer. Just renamed the mfc80u.dll file to mfc80u-old.dll and that fixed it. Never mind (though the answer is now posted here for the next poor slob with this problem!). My 6700 is now PERFECT!

this aku sucks to me... my ppc locks up most of the time... even tho i soft reset it still locks up... it wont activesync too well... and i didnt like the splash screen... i went back and installed the Stock AKU 3.5 and installed live search and the full version of 1-Calc myself.
