3.3 b3 and want to go back to 3.3 b2 can I just do a backup?

Any possible issues with the above? I really don't want to bother reinstalling all my ish again... so anyone got answers?

I just find that b2 was more stable than b3... never got a shell error... now can't seem to stop getting them!

Or how about upgrading to Saridnour's 3.5pr4.... is doing a backup still adviseable?

as long as you arent changing AKU's, ive found that backups work quite well. If you are changing AKUs, you have to rebuild.

Ok, just to clarify.... Which one of the following refers to what you're saying?

1. upgrading from 2.x to 3.x?
2. Or upgrading from 3.2 to 3.3?

Ideally, both situations can cause problems restoring a backup. I generally only advise backups when the ROM build doesn't change. But it is true that minor ROM revisions (AKU 3.3 to 3.5 for instance) would potentially cause less problems than major ROM revisions (e.g. AKU 2.2 to 3.0).

But in this case I believe you're using the same AKU (3.3) so you should be OK. No harm in trying though. If you get problems you can either bite the bullet and reinstall from scratch or reflash 3.3 b2 and then restore your backup.
