willysp told me to do the following and it worked. I did not realize you had to use the sprint oem and not an ext_rom any more. As soon as I built the kitchen with the sprint oem included and deleted my ext_rom, all is well. Thanks!

willysp said build like this:

"Apache/HELMI_Apache_3.5_KITCHEN_PPC-GEEKS_r1.1.rar

with the following OEM:

Apache/Kitchen OEMs/SprintExtendedOEM

and an empty ExtRom."

ohci.dll OEM package may be the problem.

I compared 3.5 r1.1 to 3.5 final and found that it wasn't in there

after adding ohci.dll package to the 3.5 final rom it worked.

But I don't know what it does or why, just got lucky, give it a shot and see if you can duplicate my results.

Verizonguy's naming of his customizations and fixes to 1.1 as 'final' was unfortunate. I consider 3.5 r1.1 as the best base ROM for the time being (other folks have done nice custom ROMs).
