Can rom editors/patchers post kitchen versions of your roms?

Some of us love the patches and edits and registry changes you have made but do not neccessarily like the programs you have installed. It would be nice if we could get kitchen versions of your roms for those that want to delete/add their own programs before compiling/encoding the rom.

Ive been wondering why everyone and their brother thinks we need another ROM? While the first couple were great weve reached a point where each is just another compilation of existing OEMs suited to the authors preferences.

Forget cooking ROMs and start sharing the OEM's and reg goodies.

You guys can create your own OEMs. It isn't that difficult. Also there are a good bunch of OEMs already posted on the FTP.

How do you turn an .nbf into a "kitchen" again?

AT this point, we think only Hemli knows that answer (and whoever he has shared the info with). We believe he painstakingly goes through a dumped rom and moves the various files to OS, LOC, etc. folders one by one in order to create the "kitchen".

What we are doing is simply using his already created kitchen to create a nba. file, then converting it to a nbf file, and flashing. We add our own files to the OEM folder in the kitchen for customization.

Whenever I add OEM's to the folder, I cannot run createos.exe without errors. I have tried with the published OEM's. I just copy the folder in. Is there another step I am missing?

you must find the root of the problem. at the end of the error list CreateOS makes you will see whatever errors(files) it gives you and then u can go back to correct them.

Not sure in what world you live but if creating OEM's was so easy as you state then we'd have many more OEM packages available.

Where is MSVC? Where is Phone Alarm? Put your money where your MOUTH is next time. Better yet just keep your mouth closed.

There is no reason to have more than one kitchen for each aku version. that kitchen should be a plain vanilla stable base to work from. Individual roms should then be produced shared and edited to taste.

Reason I asked was so I could tweak existing custom roms to my preference.

I can do the basics, but there are many here that are doing advanced things and it would be nice to just be able to plug my oems into a optimized custom rom.
