ImCokeman what software do you use to edit the _setup.xml file?

*Nevermind I figured it out and editted it to setup my MS Exchange server. This is great! Now I can put this in my rom.

Guys where is the Timesync cab? I can't locate it.

Also what is different about using this, editting the registry or simply checking it in the Phone app on the PPC? I don't think OTA Time Sync has ever even worked for me.

How exactly do I set this up?

I'm working on one now that should not even need calibration so i've removed the whole welcome.exe (cut paste calibration etc.)
Nice!

Finster so all you do is simply back up your registry and then restore it after a hard reset so you don't have to go through everything(ex. backlight, power setting, etc.)?
Exactly, but I haven't tried putting it right into the rom yet. I export the individual customized settings (i.e. activesync, notifications, buttons, etc.) to my storage card (not the entire registry), then just click on them one by one. I have tried putting them all into a combined registry file, but for some reason some of them weren't taking that way.

I will probably try putting a bunch of them in a custom rom like IMCOKEMAN is doing and see how it works.

Always- Don't forget your exchange server certificate (if your company uses one).

To set it up the tradtional way, click the green button so phone pops up; hit menu, options, services, Time Sync (3rd from bottom), get settings, check the box, update now.....Walla!!!

There is a registry setting to change to get the time sync to work automatically. I am looking for it now. With the edit in, as soon as you choose your timezone and the phone boots, the time is set.

Doesn't this have to be done at each restore from a flashing as well as hard reset? I would think so or is there a cab that will enable this so that we can put it in the rom or ext. rom?

Also whenever I would do this the way finster suggested my time never changed.

I don't even have this entry to change. I will add it and see what happens.

That is probably it. With that in, you do not need to go into the phone settings to enable anything. It just syncs you time automatically.
