redz, one thing about the Extended Rom, you will need to find Apa_Ext_Rom_Unlock.exe (or something similar) in \Windows and run it. This will unlock the ExtRom and make it usable.

Also, did all of your Telus ExtRom cabs install properly?

hey colonel,
actually after the phone came up it gives you 3 seconds to press ok and they auto installs those cabs. i actually did a soft reboot when it gave you that 3 second window so none of that shit installed.

i tried installing some apps and they wouldn't work in the ext_rom. so that makes complete sense. i gotta look for that app.

yeah, let me know how things to. I just re-read your first post and saw that you installed the Sprint version. This rom has the Sprint extrom stuff built into it. So, let me know if you are able to overwrite everything with your cabs. If not, you may want to try the other rom that was posted.

i can still see all the telus cabs in my ext_rom folder. aren't all the sprint specific settings in the file ms_.nbf ? as mentioned in my previous post i removed that file and only installed the rom itself. nk.nbf

also that apa unlocker.. would you have a copy of this you can drop on the ftp? i can't find it to download.

thanks

actually i read another post and found the file was already in the /windows dir... thanks again.. just rebooting my phone now.. sweet.. i can delete files in the ext_rom folder.

i seen people combined the ext_rom with the main phones memory. do you know how they went about that?

thanks again colonel.. redz

That is what I am saying. The Sprint Extrom stuff is built into that rom and not in the ms.nbf. So, that rom is setup for a sprint phone. That is why I wanted to know if everythign worked correctly when you boot up and install you cabs.

Yes, I can make roms with other carriers stuff built in, but I need help from users to test the OEMs to make sure they work.

wow, what sprint stuff did you build into the rom? cause i haven't found one thing spring related. i also never use data through my carrier. but i also checked "my connections" and nothing sprint related was in there also.

i had the issue installing apps. but i didn't run that ext_unlock which i have now. i ver'd i can delete the cabs already in there, haven't tried installing anything to it but i cant see it not working now.

everything from the Sprint ExtRom is built into that rom. Your cabs probably overwrite them. Check \Windows for some certificates.
