New 3.5 nk.nbf going up. Should have all of the fixes that were found today in it. There may be some other minor fixes needed, but it is worth installing.

Colonel,

I posted this in your 3.3 thread as well, but it really applies to your 3.5 at this point. After no joy with the morning lock-ups with 3.3.3, I did a hard reset and flashed your latest 3.5 nk.nbf. Finished with two hard resets (just to be sure) and left the phone on the cradle.

I did no changes or additions of any kind - just flashed, hard reset and put it on the cradle.

I completed this about 12:30 this morning. At 7:00, the phone is locked up, same as before with 3.3.3.

I'm open to suggestions to test, and will be happy to provide feedback of results.

Thanks!
Chris

Well, I just had one this morning as well. First thing I noticed is that the glyphcache and fatfs settings are still getting written incorrectly. I think that this is a simple error on my part. However, I am not sure that this is the cause, at least by itself. With the new 3.5 kitchen in the works, I will be looking back through any hacks I have made to see if there is something else. It still seems to happen so randomly though.

Just in case this helps with identifying the issue - for me at least - it seems to be a time-based event. I left my phone (freshly soft-reset) on my charger at 8:00 this morning - came back from an afternoon event at 4:00, and it is locked up. It seems to me this is occurring only when there is no activity for some number of hours.

Do you have it set to revert back to the Today Screen?

Settings/Today/Items Today Timeout checked?

Try unchecking that - if its better then something on your today screen is causing problems or just that setting is broken... (actually, either way its possibly something on the today screen - if tjust unchecking the above doesn't fix it then as another test try removing all the today items except the stock ones... keep adding back 1 new one every night until she hangs again

I click the 3.3 link at top signature and I get the dirs of the ftp site. There are dozens of files there and I found the sprintnojunk and it says (from an exe) that it is not for my unit (sprint ppc6700)
