What is the version of MMS you are using. I found the latest to be Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.7

I didn't think much of it but when I went in to cook the ROM the MMS was missing from the OEM section. I found it under MMS but I wasn't sure which one was the OEM version that everyone else was using so I selected the one you just mentioned, 5.0.31.7. I still have the same default server settings in arcsoft that I previously posted: Server Name: Default Gateway: 63.73.9.22 Port: 9201 Server address: http://vxpix.com/servlets/mms Connect via: Verizon Wireless Send limit: 100K WAP Version: WAP 1.2 I added a new server again and made the settings as close to the ones that others have posted: Server name: Picture Gateway: *Blank Port: 80 Server address: http://vxpix.com/servlets/mms Connect via: The internet Send limit: 300K *Because that's as close to the 878k others have posted that I can get WAP: WAP 2.0 and I still can't send them because I get this strange error: "originator address not found." |

ROMRevType=v1.04 Actually means and how it affects the ROM? In case anyone is unsure what this is, it's the ROM Rev in the actual kitchen at the top between device and OS. |

OKAY I THINK I FIGURED OUT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS TO WORK. I DON'T KNOW IF THE ROMRevType PLAYS A ROLE BUT IN LOOKING AT craigerk'S ROM SELECTIONS I NOTICED THAT IT WAS THE ROMRevType SELECTION THEY MADE.
WHAT WORKED FOR ME WAS ADDING THESE 3 SELECTIONS WHILE COOKING MY ROM: ffffffff-76c4-4a72-804b-a880269c13ea, True, nueTools Base Package ffffffff-23b2-41e3-9c2b-8a9b4f0af6ff, True, nueMMS ffffffff-70ca-4b68-afec-b23de5452c32, True, nueThreadedSMSControl WHICH GAVE ME THE SERVER SETTINGS THAT XHULL SAID WORKED FOR HIM: no gateway port 80 http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms connect via the internet sending size limitation 878k wap 2.0 I KNOW OTHERS HAVE STATED THAT JUST HAVING ARCSOFT WORKED FOR THEM BUT I TRIED EVERYTHING AND I COULDN'T GET ARCSOFT TO WORK...SENDING OR RECEIVING. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP EVERYONE BUT IT'S GOT ME SENDING AND RECEIVING PICTURE MESSAGES NOW. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE CHARGES YET IN THE 1X MODE THOUGH, I WAS FORCING 1X MODE WITH ALL OF THIS AS WELL AS I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION. I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN A DAY OR 2 ABOUT THE CHARGES WHEN I CAN CHECK MY USAGE. I HAVE ATTACHED MY ROM SELECTIONS IN CASE IT MIGHT HELP SOMEONE ELSE. |
Re: Recieving MMS Messages through Verizon

Re: Recieving MMS Messages through Verizon
How did you resolve your unanswered issue?

Re: Recieving MMS Messages through Verizon
You know, I've seen all these threads on MMS will get you data charges but I've never got any since I added the "Auto Data Dissconnet" in the kitchen. I have no data plan and I send/recieve these useless pix messages. When running WM5 I would get about a 1-2 charge per month of data, I would dissconect via the bubble with registry trick. Maybe it's WM5 WAH ;)

Re: Recieving MMS Messages through Verizon
I am just taking a shot at this, but would Internet Explorer be causing the trouble? I was recieving the same error "Unable to send or receive. Message will remain in your..." until I found the thread that said to quit using Internet Explorer and go into your registry and goto HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings and once you are in this subfolder you should delete the connections folder.
I don't know if this would help for verizon, but I know it did work for me. Was just a thought |
