Anyone seeing a memory leak? I start with around 21MB, then throughout the day it drops, until reaching around 2MB.

It may not be the ROM, but another program, but I did not run into this with the original rom.

This memory drop will happen, even if I'm not using the PPC for anything.

The memory leak seems to be that shell32.exe is not releasing any memory it uses.

I ran a test after reading your first post and I haven't had any memory leak. I'm also running MemMaid so I clear memory after I use the internet. The only time I have noticed a leak is when using wifi. It doesn't dump packets on its own. (Never really did correctly) Is Wifi enabled?

Let me know what to do to replicate the problem.

great work on the custom rom... been running it a few hours now no problem. I wonder if in a future rom would you consider trying freeware instead of trail stuff, other than that great work keep it comming

evilgenius: Got to stick with the trial stuff as this is a clone of my rom wich is registered. By replacing what I have wit the trial, I am able to give you all the same Rom experience that I have been enjoying. It also lets you choose to not use the rial stuff and replace it with freeware at a small storage space hit.

Rock Solid

Saridnour,

I must compliment you again. I have been running your rom for several days and it has been rock soliid and very appreciated by me. I haven't tried any other of the roms out there, but I can say for right now yours is doing very well for me. Keep up the good work and I hope others appreciate your contribution as much as I have. Thanks again, Ken B

omegax: The memory situation seems to get worse, the more my PPC is connected to my computer via Activesync.. I going to try and not connect for as long as possible to see, if that is truely the memory hog. (It could also be Commontime mNotes, which I use to sync to Lotus Notes)

Nothing has changed on my PPC since I was on the original Sprint ROM (all reinstalled after hard reset of course) and I would go weeks without a soft reset. Now it seems daily. I still like this new ROM so much though, that I could never go back!!! again thanks Saridnour

Uninstall Trials

Hey,

I've read the whole thread, but it was unclear to me:

Can we uninstall the trials if we want?

Thanks guys!

no, you can disable them however. Or you can grab the kitchen that was made and remove and reflash.

Okay, I was bored last night and installed your rom-no difficulties, and I love the subtle humor; intel inside, . .. .
seems to run well, different than the colonel's, but I can adjust. thanks to all you guys for making this simple and fun.
