schwos,

Thanks for the info on removing the comm manager from the today screen. I just map it to a button, so I don't usually need it on the screen.

I would reccomend against setting it over 520... the 624 setting locks up many, many of the phones at work.
I would also like to see it set at 520 as I know for a fact 624 locks up my phone on boot.

Jmckinney1976 and jendand!
Thankx for your info. Yesterday I have done that, and the upgrade UI didn't display the versions (CE, Ext. ROM & Radio), I went ahead with the update, it starts with stage 3.
The update was successful, generally it was OK although the device displays 2 error after i reset it.
My Question (I'm a new to this):
Was that supposed to happen (update only CE image and not the other ROMs)?

Gamals,

There are three ROM areas within the phone; Primary ROM; Extended_Rom; and Radio_ROM.

Stage 1; is the Extended_ROM
Stage 2; is the Radio_ROM
Stage 3; is the Primary_ROM < this is the only one you want to upgrade, unless using original code from USStar (Verizon, Sprint, etc)

So what you saw was correct with the flash.. but what two errors does your device display? Beyond upgrading to this ROM have you changed anything on your unit? Did you get these errors prior to this ROM upgrade and did you use a different ROM prior to this one. Lastly; did you do a HARD Reset prior to use; not a soft reset.

Thanx schwos!!

They were errors regarding files absence (i don't remember the file's names), also i didn't do hard reset prior to upgrade. I think I will do that today, & let you know?

I have to apply the DST fix every time I hard reset. All of my appointments are off by 1 hour as is my phone until I do.

Saridnour,

I have the same issue with the DST; if it was included with 3.5/PR5/SP1 it isn't working properly, unless you install the DST patch. Can we make sure that the DST is within PR6, as well how is your testing going with PR6 so far and do you need any help?

Thanks,

Many Thanx schwos!!
I've done that and it was ok.
Another issue regarding applying SP1 for PR5, it says:
"Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permission"
