Disconnect at Screen off

okay i just got my asurion replacement 6700 and Im noticing something that didnt happen before. when i power my screen off (it bugs me just staying when syncing and charging) active sync disconnects. Should i be worried or just wm6 it up?

Active sync normally does disconn when you manually power off the device but I think if you let the device turn off itself it doesnt happen.

hmmmmm... either its me or my other 6700 didnt do that..... Can you please go to my other post you might be able to help with my other and more.....pressing issue

I also have a problem with my screen. In the middile of any application the screen shuts off and I have to push the power button to turn it back on. Even though the screen is off I can continue to text words and they are there when I push the power button. It appears my backlight settings are ok. I'm not sure if someone has experienced this before.

So how long is your backlight set to stay on and how long does it stay on before your screen goes dark?

It is set for 1 minute on battery power. But it goes off after about 5-10 seconds...It doesn't do it all the time either.

I just have mine to stay on but have the backlight to turn off after 5 minutes

My thread on hacks/tweaks should always be read. It is located here and I will post what you need to see the most I think. although you should go through the entire thread.

\HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\LockLevel

ignore the LockLevel key inside the LockLevel folder...RENAME the folder to LockLevelx...i tried various other strategies but this caused the phone to eventually recreate the LockLevel folder with the proper key inside...but this time the key was set to 0 instead of 1. it's been 2 weeks with multiple soft resets and the backlight settings have been surviving as they should...

Thanks Weedahoe, I'll try this and post my results. Now...I haven't really messed around in the HKCU or the HKeyLocal stuff I see people posting about so i will have to do a little research. I saw it once before but since I didn't need it I didn't pay much attention....I'll get it. Any recommedations to look?
