Re: Disconnect at Screen off

Active sync normally does disconn when you manually power off the device but I think if you let the device turn off itself it doesnt happen.

Re: Disconnect at Screen off

I also have a problem with my screen. In the middile of any application the screen shuts off and I have to push the power button to turn it back on. Even though the screen is off I can continue to text words and they are there when I push the power button. It appears my backlight settings are ok. I'm not sure if someone has experienced this before.

Re: Disconnect at Screen off

So how long is your backlight set to stay on and how long does it stay on before your screen goes dark?

Smile Re: Disconnect at Screen off

I had the same problem with the treo 700wx. You should'nt be worried however. I've come to realize that when in active sync you should set the backlight to not turn off at all. And if you "put the screen to sleep" manually you will lose connection with activesync.

So basically when in ActiveSync you need to make sure that the screen doesn't turn off.

It is set for 1 minute on battery power. But it goes off after about 5-10 seconds...It doesn't do it all the time either.

My thread on hacks/tweaks should always be read. It is located here and I will post what you need to see the most I think. although you should go through the entire thread.

How to keep your backlight (on battery power) from reverting back to 10 seconds
\HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\LockLevel

ignore the LockLevel key inside the LockLevel folder...RENAME the folder to LockLevelx...i tried various other strategies but this caused the phone to eventually recreate the LockLevel folder with the proper key inside...but this time the key was set to 0 instead of 1. it's been 2 weeks with multiple soft resets and the backlight settings have been surviving as they should...
