cdecker196: that is usually setup as part of the carriers "add on" from the extended rom. I am not familiar with the vzw extended but there should be a provisioning cab to run in the extended rom that sets this up for you. Or you can set it up manually.

Any one else having problems connecting to their Exchange server via ActiveSync (aka Direct Push)?

I'm sure I'm inputting the right settings and AS just says that it can't find the server or that synchronization can not be done at this time.

Are you using pOutlook or FlexMail for DP, saridnour?

Edit: Nevermind! Had a brain fart. I wasn't typing the right server address.

I've decided to wait for you to put Excel into the ROM, do you know when you are planning to do V3?

Any way to port this over as Kitchen ROM so people can remove some of the programs?

I would like to cook a ROM base off this one with minimal OEM packages.

Thanks

D1zzl3: No direct push issues. DP works regaurdless of pOutlook and Flex. (They use the same data store). I get mail from my mail2web exchange all the time without issues. You may want to delete your exchange server, soft reset and try again if you have not done so already. You could also setup a mail2web acount for free and test there. just be sure to close the account if it's just for a test.

maback: I supose I could put an R3 with what I have. I updated GWES and coldinit and a few other core system files from 3.5 and am testing now but all looks good thus far. I just didn't want to put out a ROM that had issues. That is why I did updates to the orginal rom rather than an r3. What do you all think, test build or tested build? I do want to share the ROM, just not really wanting to do 100 spins of it, more so since it differs from my registered one I use

avaya: I have not used the kitchen nor have much scope in it's use. If someone wants to port this they are welcom to and I will do what I can to help, but the build process I use is working and will probably just stick to it. Anyone can use the "other method" to pull it apart and add/extract all they want, it really is not that hard.

mcevoke: But if I post r3 now, the stabilty may go down and why I have held off so far..... Not saying r3 will be unstable, mine has been working great, but it's only been running for a day (if that).
