jokeman3000: Do me a favor and try installing xcpuscaler. see if that fixes the issue and I will try rebuilding it.
anhone else seeing this? It may be an issue with the trial vs the reg version I am using. Also you could try removing the reg entries for xcpu and see if its a matter of using the registered version export as the scaling is not available in the trial.

just out for the evening so any help at finding the issue may result in it getting fixed tonight rather than troubleshooting it

I have found them VERY useful! Sorry I had to do all the trial stuff, but I couldn't post reg apps, but when these are used together this rom really shines.

This is a hybrid of AKU 3.3, 3.5 and WM6.

Things of intrest:
- WM6 RDP client
- 3.5's util apps (incuding the new feture in wireless lan)
- WM6 sounds
- WM6 splash and theme
- *Voice command integrated (exe missing, see below)
- SPB imageer as the default viewing app (trial)
- SPB backup (trial)
- RAR
- tetris clone game
- pNotepad
- vjcandelite
-Wisebar (trial) task management and start menu addon <-NICE!!
- XCPUscaler (trial) Can not scale in trial, but scaling is the way to go.
- new fonts
- new today tsk themes
-new alarms
- .net cf2

Note: the IE temp files are stored on the storage card in this build. You can edit the reg if you want them back in windows. Let me know if anyone needs instuctions.

Everything is set to load at start that needs to be running (with the exception of *voice command, see below). So Wisbar and xcpu will load at start and use the settings I found to work well.

I removed everything that I felt was junk wich includes the MSN apps, help files, doc templates, sample images, and other non-useful junk (at least junk to me). There was a lot removed.

*NOTE: Voice command had the EXE removed as this is comercial software. All you need to do is copy your EXE in to the windows dir and create a shortcut to the startup folder and it will be functional and mapped to button #5.

There are a number of reg tweaks and most of the apps are compressed to save room. This should make for a good out of the box experience as (other than reg trialware) it is a good working package.

Things that are by design not functional:
- Pimg is replaces with spb pocket imageer.
- pOutlook is partialy functional for alerting only. Flexmail is the app to use for mail management. It is still in beta so not in the rom. Add this post install if you need mail. Make sure to use the R2 release as it is AKU3+ compatible.
- ??

Should install to less than 2.5 meg of user storage.

Ok that being said, let me know what you find as I have been testing with the reg apps. And we all know nothing is oerfect

To install, unzip the package. Place your device in boot loader mode and run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to get the install going. Do a hard reset after teh update conculdes. (both soft buttons held while re-setting, not what is depicted in the app). Also set the date and time on the welcome screen. Not sure but the trials may expire when you later update the date/time.

You can download here: ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....r_AKU_3.3x.zip

pixelwix: did you see errors with the xcpuscaler like reportrd above? as to the rdp bits. I can't hand them out as these are unreleased ms bits and so that's pushing it a bit more than I am already. I did post the reg entries and file list in another post. with those and the rom though, you should have no issues getting what you need.

The reg and file lists are in this thread: http://ppcgeeks.com/error-making-hv-...les-t2365.html

Look for a post by me that has them.

Ok the byte count was off on the xcpuscalar.exe. I went and did a re-pack of the bits and updated the original link in the first post to point to the r2 release. The path is: ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....KU_3.3x-r2.zip
It's copying now and may not be available for another 10 min or so from the post time.

.net cf2 builds will run a little slower than those without, but should not be that much slower. I figured .net was required at some point and that it might as well be in the build as when I ran without it, I found apps I coulld no longer use.

Now browsing to a folder with pics does not slow down at all for me. Are you using spb imageer to view the folder as that will take time to load the thumbnails. What tool are you using to browse the folder? What build are you using as a comparason?

All images are linked to spb imageer so it should be the default app and the default icon. I see the spb icon for my standard image types (gif, jpg) while browsing in total commander.

I just updated to this and so far I like it the best part for me so far is the WM6 RDP client! I finally supports high encryption. the problem I see is that some of the apps are unable to initaite the data connection, espically the rdp program
