I think the kitchen oem area is on the verge of getting really out of hand. Maybe we should start splitting it into freeware, commercial maybe a shared dev section or some such scheme with a little bit better organization?

I moved all my OEM packages into a single folder called J_ (Jbabey OEM) to help clean up the space a little bit, when i get some time ill make a huge readme of what they all are....

on another note i uploaded a file for you to look at for making reg changes.... I have NOT tested to see if they all went properly, but my initial glance at this new flash tells me that they do....

its located at

/Apache/Kitchen OEMs/J_ (JBabey OEM)/

Z_Reg_Tweaks

grab the Z_Reg_Tweaks and open the

26316bca-c258-11db-8314-0800200c9a66.rgu

with wordpad (its in unicode)

in there you will see all of the registry tweaks i have implemented on a flash... things like caching, removing the bottom icons, putting the clock in the top bar.... etc...

I have about 30 or so entries in there so that I dont have to do ANYTHING manually... it also allowed me to no longer need PPC6700 hacks, and therefore no .NET (kinda clunky)

if you have any questions after looking at that let me know.

Well, I guess it's a start, but the problem is that a directory structure should to some extent be intuitive, and especially with multiples popping up of the same apps, things are only going to get worse. I think it's fine, name the package after yourself so you can take credit (or blame for not putting a blank line at the end of your initflashfiles.txt), but i think segregating everyone's packages into their own folders is a step in the wrong direction.

I agree. Seperating into folders by user name is definitely a step in the wrong direction. If they are all in one main directory, at least you can click on "sort by date", which lets you know when anything new has been added since your last visit.

Yep, that's the one. Great program, you can use the d-pad to move down to it on the Today screen, then left and right to select the profile.
Love this program. I beta tested version 2, but it won't work on the cooked ROMs for some reason...

Re the OEM folders on FTP, yeah they need to be organized better - but for now putting them under the developer/editor folder at least keeps things a little cleaner. We could make a wiki page where they're all documented, and that one could be sorted by app name with commercial (demo) freeware, and shareware sections. If the same package exists in two or more versions, it would just be documented there as to what changes were made....

For some reason, I couldn't get Colonel's MMS OEM folder to work (it no longer created an MMS inbox). I am uploading one I did that includes customization for sprint's server being used as the default. Let me know if you have any problems with it.

Anybody get the Treo speedial today plugin OEM on the ftp to work? For some reason, it installs, but won't show up on my today screen.

Or, better yet, does anybody have a confirmed working OEM for Treo speed dial?

ZCrossbowTheme

This is the crossbow theme with yellow letters, installed and used on boot.

You can use it as is, or edit it to remove the yellow font color

Generally speaking, use it as a guide for 'boot installed' themes - to add a theme to rom you just need the .tsk file in rom, then it is choosable as a theme. To have it be pre-installed you need to get the 4 gif files for the background out of the .tsk file (install it as the current theme, then copy them out) in the rom as well - obviously you can only have 1 theme as your ready to go theme in a rom. The rgu file would not be needed for a theme you can choose, but is needed for a preinstalled theme - it should be late in the build order

.rgu file options...

This OEM has the font colors for the theme and top bar set to yellow... remove the following for white, or change as desired for your colors:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Color]
"4"=hex:ff,ff,00,00
"9"=hex:ff,ff,00,00
"39"=hex:ff,ff,00,00
See http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...sMobile5Colors

Just change the above as desired...
