I'm trying to figure it out myself. I do know, though, that after opening the default.skn in Notepad, there is this important message from the creator:

**Description**
' .SKN file must be in path \Program Files\phoneAlarm_Lite
' All images must be in path \Program Files\phoneAlarm_Lite\skinName

So the program is hard-coded to look in those directories for those files. I'm developing my initflashfiles.txt to copy all these necessary files into \Program Files\phoneAlarm (not lite, since I have a full version).

Total commander 2.5 is now in the kitchen OEM folder on the ftp site. Thanks to Jeff Kirvin's post for the reminder that it existed (turns out i had the cab on my pc already, but preferred a premade OEM til now)

I've actually got WMA Phone Profiles figured out, so I'll upload that tomorrow. I think I have at least one more, too. Just gotta tie 'em together.

the mysterious phonealarm RGU on the FTP did some interesting things to note.... (once compiled in of course with the program)

you can launch the settings for phonealarm directly from the windows folder and the skins actually show up in the dropdown list.... but the app itself *never* loads into the today screen..... if you break down the RGU you see that it actually points to a "vista_media" as the skin in the registry, but i have not been able to find that skin nor successfuly mod the reg entries to use another skin.

if someone could figure out a way to get it to load into the today screen, i can whip out an initflashfiles.txt the just eats a tiny amount of storage and copies just the skin files to "Program Files". Keep me posted, well tackle this yet!

Sorry for the Mystery. I think I posted this a while back when someone asked. I simple just extracted the registry keys created after phone alarm was setup and installed. I could never get it to work correctly...

A couple of observations.

All of the versions of .Net Ive used (on the ftp) don't seem to work. I believe it's something to do with the order of installation and over writing existing files. My workaround is just install from .cab into the ext_rom. Even though the install says it fails and no space is used in the ext_rom .Net then works.

Voice Command never seems to hear me even though I hear/see it's been activated and waiting. Again my solution is a install from .cab but in this case it does seem to use about 2mb or half of the typical install but the install does complete.

Also, can someone help me. I'd like to include an OEM that changes/adds a couple of registry entries. Ill show you the keys can you show me what to put in the .rgu? TIA.

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Color

ValueName is Basehue ValueData change to 160
ValueName 6 change ValueData to 00 00 00 00
Add Binary Value: ValueName 40 valuedata C2 06 06 00

How do I change default.tsk to myown.tsk?

I follow what needs to be done but I don;t know the syntax.

Oh yea, is anyone working on an OEM for the DST2007 fix for daylight savings or the enablerapi? I can try and perhaps with some help can get it into the ftp asap.

Couple of other apps Im thinking about tackling.

Try changing the voicecommand oem folder name to z_voicecommand. The createos installs them in alphabetical order. If you set it to install near the end (by putting "z" in the name, then its registry settings should not get overriden.
